Great Hotel

We had a great stay here. The room was very nice with a beautiful view of the ocean. Which was the back of the hotel. :) The bed was super comfortable. The hotel was quiet and perfect Location. The staff was friendly and nice. We highly recommend this hotel.

Located on the end of Long sands with access to the beach . Well kept rooms that overlook ocean . Very nice private area with chairs and lawn lounging chairs. Bottom rooms open to this area. My favorite place to stay in York !

My husband and I recently celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a six-night stay at the Cutty Sark Motel. We enjoyed peaceful walks along Long Sands Beach under perfect weather, but what made this trip truly unforgettable was meeting Faye, our spirited housekeeper. Faye made our anniversary extra special with her delightful towel art! When we arrived in our room the first night, we were greeted by two swans artfully crafted from towels, their necks forming a heart, with a delicate flower nestled between their beaks. It was such a sweet surprise! Another day, we walked in to find a chic little dog lounging on our bed, complete with sunglasses perched on its adorable face—all made from towels, of course! Finally, when we met Faye in person, her warm and charismatic personality instantly shone through. I couldn’t help but thank her with an enthusiastic hug. She brought so much joy and whimsy to our stay, making our anniversary celebration all the more delightful!

We loved this property. The view was amazing, the staff was great. The beach is steps away, the hotel provides tables, chairs right off the rooms to enjoy the view and ocean breeze. It's a short walk to restaurants and to town for shopping.

Loved, Loved, Loved this place! Fresh baked goods in the morning with coffee. The scones were unbelievable!!! The woman who baked them was an incredible employee! She not only made and served incredible baked goods, but wiped down the outside tables and answered any questions we had with a smile! All the staff was great, the attention to detail is unheard of these days! The cleaning staff was prompt, curious, and left a towel animal on my bed every day. The elephant was awesome. I can't say enough good things about this place.

One of the best things about this motel was the location and room view of the ocean. We could also sit outside to enjoy the ocean experience. In addition, the cleaning staff was extremely nice and helpful. The worst thing about the motel were the beds. The mattresses need to be replaced. I felt like I was going to fall out because of the lack of support around the edges of the mattress. For $500 a night I was expecting a better quality sleep. Even with the amazing ocean view we wouldn't stay there again because of that.
