The Evergreen Inn was a little off the beaten path, but it was well worth the trip. From the outside, the inn looked modest, though it was clean and well maintained. Our room, however, was a delightful surprise. It was beautifully appointed, with furniture and fixtures as nice as those in some of the upscale hotels we’ve stayed in.
We also appreciated the thoughtful touches, including makeup-removal towels, robes, slippers, and even live plants that made the room feel especially welcoming.
Breakfast was another highlight. We enjoyed freshly baked scones (I’d love the recipe!), steel-cut oats, and fresh, hot coffee in the cozy lobby area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Evergreen and would happily stay there again.
