Great location, two blocks from train station, Rhine day excursion and delightful town square. Staff recommended room in back because though the front has the view, it also has the noise. Breakfast was like a five star hotel.

When coming there was some rush at the reception. We paid the 5 euro city tax when arriving. Next morning when checking out there was another person behind the desk. She claimed the city tax again. The earlier payment had not been registered. They insisted us to pay it again, which we had to do. The officer of the previous day was not present. We spend the whole day walking around in the nice surroundings. When coming back we had to explain the situation again. Now the person of the previous day was there. He admitted that we had paid and he gave the extra tax back. However, no apologies.

Terrible hotel

We had a very disappointing experience with the hotel and decided to leave after just one night, even though we had booked two. Upon arrival, the staff were unprofessional and unwelcoming. Although the booking stated parking was available, the hotel’s garage was too small for our cars and already full. We were directed to a paid public parking lot nearby, but the hotel refused to cover the cost, despite no mention during booking that parking had to be reserved in advance. The rooms we were given were located in a different building than shown in the pictures online. They were worn, extremely hot (no air conditioning), and situated next to a noisy side street with live music from a nearby Irish bar. Sleeping was nearly impossible due to the heat and noise. Breakfast was chaotic, with not enough space for all guests, and poor hygiene when cleaning tables. During check-out, the staff initially tried to charge us the full tourist tax for both nights, but after some discussion, they agreed not to — since we only stayed one night. The tourist tax could only be paid in cash. The only positive aspect was that the rooms were relatively clean. Overall, it was a frustrating and unpleasant stay, and we cannot recommend this hotel.

Fine room and service but if you are facing river it was extremely noisy. The bar next door was the loudest in town and very very loud music and heavy drinkers open till 2 am. Then many remained outside until 4 am yelling. Add the fact that the trains come by often all night was not a good sleep. Good breakfast was a plus.

Sauberes Hotel, reichhaltiges Frühstück für den Preis. Unschlagbar, hatte ein Einzelzimmer was sauber war zwar mit Teppichboden aber aber dennoch sauber und ausreichend mit kleinem Bad und kleine Dusche also Einzelzimmer nichts für stämmige Personen. Parkplätze müssen reserviert werden eher für kleine Autos, aber ausreichend kostenpflichtige Parkplätze in der Nähe.

Staff was not friendly, TV remote didn't work, bar/cafe was never open, toilet/ plumbing was not very good. We had a clogged toilet for 4+ hours before they sent someone up to fix it. We stayed at the end of the hall and there was no lighting in the hall. It was very dark! The light bulb was burned out and never replaced. No coffee in the room. We had to pay for the coffee. The breakfast that was included was edible, but service was non existent! The only positive about this place was the location to the train station and the room and bathroom was clean. The public restroom in the lobby however was not.

Hotellet var bra med perfekt centralt läge för att utforska Rudesheim, gångavstånd till allt. Extremt trång nerfart till garaget. Frukostservicen var däremot inte bra, det mesta tog slut hela tiden och det tog lång tid innan påfyllning.

Frokost var helt forferdelig. Det manglet alltid agurk og tomat på frokost bordet. Personalet var dårlig opplært og var sen med absolutt alt under frokosten. Den med å hente kaffe kanne, sen med å rydde av bordene, den med å dekke til bordene til nye gjester.

Ældre, brugt, men pænt hotel, med elevator, hvor internet desværre ikke duede på det værelse vi boede i, selv efter henvendelse i receptionen, blev det ikke bedre, hotellet er sammen med nabohotellet, så morgenbuffeen skiftede mellem de to hoteller, uden at de som såden oplyste om det. Der er parkerings mulighed ved hotellet, som skal bestilles og som har sin pris.

Tolle Lage, vernachlässigtes Hotel

Bei der Lage direkt an der Uferpromenade und bei günstigen Preisen nimmt man gerne in Kauf, auf Luxus zu verzichten. Aber: Der Zustand des Hauses lässt keinen entspannten Aufenthalt zu. Die Teppichböden verschmutzt. Die Ausstattung lädt nicht zur Nutzung ein. Im Zimmer liegt ein unangenehmer Geruch, eine Mischung aus Alter und Feuchtigkeit. Fernsehergerät auf einem Tisch in der Ecke zwingt dich zum Kopfverdrehen. Überall trostlose Atmosphäre: Alles wirkt stark abgewohnt, ist stark verraucht. Eine Renovierung scheint seit mind. fünf Jahrzehnten ausgeblieben zu sein. Das Frühstück enttäuscht aber nicht. Das Einfachste, aber vielfältig.

Great trip to Rudesheim and very pleasant stay at Traube Hotel for 2 nights including breakfast. Comfortable room with all necessary facilities including kettle for making cups of tea. Good communication with staff who are very helpful. Excellent breakfast and good local restaurants. Convenient for river cruise.
