Don’t stay on the north side of the hotel unless you like road noise from the interstate. A/C made some noise to drown out the traffic noise. Got up at 6:30 AM to find very limited hot water in the shower.

There were small spots of dried blood on the top sheet near where your head is. The shelf in the bathroom, and the table where the coffee maker sits, including the coffee maker and ice bucket were pretty dusty. But the main issue is the side entry door (east side of building) has been broken for the past YEAR! And this trip it is still broken and unusable! Very very inconvenient! It is propped open and cigarette smoke comes in from smokers and cold air comes in on cold days. I used it propped open to get my couple of bulky things in and it was open all night. Which is a safety and security issue. Please please fix this door. This is my favorite place to stay on my trips! But I had the breakfast for the first time (I’ve stayed here many times!) and it was very good.And layed out beautifully!

One of the worst bookings EVER through Hotels.com and Expedia. We were already booked for Wednesday night 12/31, when I made a new reservation for this hotel. The online system changed my reservation from 12/30 to 12/31(during the confirmation process) for the Texas one-night stay, even though I was already booked hundreds of miles away thru Expedia.. This hotel was uncooperative in helping to cancel and rebook the room, so they charged me twice for two different hotels in two different cities for the same night. They were happy to take the new reservation for 12/30 but refused to cancel the false reservation for 12/31. Serious breach of my trust and ten-year relationship. Have disputed this mess but LaQuinta Monahans put in almost NO effort to resolve this situation. Extremely disappointed.

Only thing I seen is trash overflowing when we got there on floor near elevator and worse when we left there at 8 p left 730 a Elevator looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in years with finger smudges everywhere. Tried to change my booking but they argued it was non refundable and too late since it was past check in time. But when i got there they said my room was unavailable and was never gaurenteed. Front desk was rude and had an attitude as if i was the inconvenience.
