The staff is always very nice and helpful. They must have run out of regular coffee pods because they kept giving us decaf even though we requested regular. Also the hot tub must have been turned down or broke because it wasn't that hot after our first day.

This is a hotel my family and I have stayed at several times. Never had an issue before until now.
On our latest trip we traveled with our cat and looked up a pet friendly hotel. We have used Expedia to book rooms before and did so again this time. The hotel was listed by Expedia as being a "pet friendly" hotel.
Upon our arrival the front desk worker informed us cats were not allowed into the hotel per management. I asked if any special circumstances could be granted given the unclear communication between the hotel and Expedia. He assured me he could not do that, but told me he believed another hotel nearby would take the cat. I then requested a refund but was informed I would need to contact Expedia before a refund could be considered. Expedia reached out to the hotel later that night but was unable to speak with anyone who could authorize a refund. I was instructed I should hear something from them in the next 24-72 hours.
Poor/unclear communication between hotel and Expedia on the pet policy. Again, shame since we've enjoyed previous stays.
