Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and frustrating. The room had no air conditioning and not even a fan, which made it incredibly hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable. We were not warned about the lack of ventilation ahead of time, and the listing online gave a completely misleading impression of the conditions.
To make matters worse, the windows didn’t open fully, so there was no proper airflow. The room was so hot it was almost unbearable, especially at night.
On top of the heat, the bed was extremely uncomfortable—you could feel the springs through the mattress. And if that wasn’t enough, the hotel was very noisy at night, making it difficult to get any rest at all.
We tried to cancel or get a refund due to these unacceptable conditions, but the hotel would not cooperate saying that they would have to speak to hotels.com directly. We have filed a formal claim through Hotels.com, as we feel the hotel’s description was misleading and omitted critical details that would have influenced our booking decision. I even have video and photos of what the rooms really look like verses what their pictures show. It is completely different.
My only positive compliment is about the porters taking our luggage up 5 flights of winding stairs. They were very nice and apologetic to us. I know I’m not the only one who this has happened to.
Avoid this place if you value comfort, honesty, and a good night’s sleep. I’m being fully transparent.
