El hotel está bien situado, pero no compensa la calidad-precio, es un hotel, muy sencillo, ruidoso, y faltaba cuidar detalles de limpieza, sobre todo el baño del lobby.

The room was tiny and oddly laid out. The bed was an Ikea style murphy bed with a broken frame, the balcony was spacious with nice views, but the metal furniture was showing rust and the plastic lounge chairs had no cushions, so they were hard, hot and uncomfortable. At check in, I was asked for a credit card, and told it was for a $250 charge if I smoked in the room. I don't smoke anything, so I had no issues. When we returned from dinner, the lobby smelled of Marijuana so strongly, that both my husband and i asked if we got to charge a smoking deposit, to the hotel staff... there were no other guests in the lobby, only the night clerk. Who, I might add, was very nice and did offer assistance with the broken bed frame. The common spaces are lovely, and I now understand that the room I rented doubles as a conference room, with 2 adjoining rooms. But sleeping on an Ikea quality murphy bed was not the Old San Juan experience I was promised. Decanter, will not be my first choice next time I visit P.R.

We loved Hotel Decanter. The staff was really sweet and helpful giving us ideas on good food and places to go eat or drink. Old San Juan is beautiful but it can be difficult to walk with the uneven pavement, 16th century cobble stone streets, and hilly terrain. That said, staying here made navigating old town San Juan a breeze! You are never more than 2-3 blocks from anything you could possibly want to do or see down there, so the location is ideal!! We had a French Balcony room. It was clean and spacious. Lots of natural light during the day. Girls may want to bring a small lighted vanity mirror though as the only mirror in the room was not in a well lit area. If I was forced to find a fault with the room, it would be that the French balcony’s view was less than desirable. We faced toward the cathedral which was fine but the neighbors have roof top access and that was apparently where they let their two dogs relieve themselves. So our rooftop view was mostly dog excrement. To be fair, that isn’t the hotel’s fault. But, if I was going to stay here again, which I 100% would do and would recommend anyone do, I probably wouldn’t pay for a balcony room and would be content with an interior room. Another real perk of staying at hotel decanter is the rooftop bar. We didn’t have any of the food but the menu had some delicious tapas. The drinks were fantastic, and the view was good. The best part was the cooling breeze. I recommend ending your evening here. Overall, loved our stay!

Elevator was Inop, rooftop was unavailable due to rain and if the rooftop was closed so was the restaurant, also don't expect to do early check in or a late check out. The location was rest so if all you want is that then you'll be fine.

A great location with very friendly staff and plenty of space to store our luggage before and after checkout. Water pressure in shower and bathroom sink could have been a little stronger but the bed was very comfortable and air conditioning was perfect … we would stay there again!

This hotel is very beautiful with friendly staff and conveniently located near many restaurants and tourist attractions. Its located on a beautiful and quiet street with a parking lot if you rent a car available across the street for a fee. The only issue we had with the hotel is that the room we rented (economy room) didn't have a window with a view outside. The window in the room was to the lobby inside the hotel and the room itself was very small. Also the bathroom doesn’t have any ventilation system. So that was weird and of course bad after using the toilet. Housekeeping was great and always present. I highly recommend this hotel and suggest you book one of their suites with a balcony. Those rooms are beautiful.

The Decanter Hotel is situated near the center of Old San Juan and is convenient for walking to landmarks, public squares, shopping and dining. The environment feels very safe and orderly, with a visible police presence in busy areas. The hotel rooms that I have stayed in have modern appointments and are very clean. The outside views from the rooms vary in appeal. If this is important to you then you should consult the hotel when booking. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooftop bar, though somewhat pricey, is lively and offers good food and drink. I would stay there again.

It was a beautiful hotel. Those at the front desk were very friendly n helpful. The rooms for the must part were clean. The tables in the rooms were a little dusty. Otherwise I would come back again.

Very convenient to the cathedral where we attended a wedding. Many walkable options for touring, shops, and food nearby. Coffee machine in lobby had many nice choices, however there was never any creamer in the room.

We had a very nice terrace room on the Calle San Jose side of the building and the Saturday and Sunday night noise from a bar up the street was very loud well beyond midnight. They were having fun. That is my only complaint

We really enjoyed our stay. Walking distance from old town and all the restaurants and shopping. The room was lovely, the bed very comfortable, and the staff super helpful. Would stay here again in the future.
