Amazing stay.

Always a great stay at the edge hotel. Never any issues and this is my 3 time staying here. The room is always clean and ready to go when i check in. Will always stay here if possible.

What a find!

This place exemplifies the fact that if you know NYC and are willing to use the subway you really can save thousands on a visit. It is located up in Washington Heights in far north Manhattan, maybe 10-15min from Penn Station if you catch the A express (2-3x that if local). It's a mainly Dominican neighborhood, you'll see brownish people speaking Spanish and hear loud merengue, but I believe it's about as safe as most neighborhoods... I worked there several years without any problems, even late night, but if you are uncomfortable the block and a half from the train to the hotel has more cops than the local precinct. The hotel itself is great, brand new with rooms that would be spacious anywhere, but cavernous in Manhattan, and the staff may actually be the friendliest i have experienced not just in NYC but anywhere. I am gold so they upgraded me and even gave me a bottle of quite good wine, so take that into consideration, but I will definitely be back!

We were in NYC for medical care at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. The location is the best for that access. The room was comfortable and the staff was kind and very helpful. If one requires access to the Columbia medical center The Edge is the best hotel to meet your needs.

Great value.

Room was clean. Sheets smelled like bleach which made me happy. The mattress was brand new! My only complaint was the outside noise at night. I worked in this neighborhood so I know how loud it can be. Just beware that in the summer it’s bad. All in all, it was a fine room and it was clean.

Lovely boutique hotel

Front desk employees were professional, helpful and friendly. Room, though somewhat small (typical for NYC), was very clean and well appointed. Nice exercise room and comfortable lounge area that I used daily to read and crochet. Great location near Columbia School of Nursing and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

Great stay, close to the United Palace theater where we went for a show. Luis at the front desk was so helpful. I made an error when booking my stay and he was very accommodating and kind. The room was updated and very clean. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Great stay

Very pleasant stay. The hotel is located on a quiet street, just a block from the subway. The street felt safe and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room is on the small side but has everything you need. If you are coming with a lot of suitcases, you might feel a little cramped, but we were perfectly accommodated with our two bags. There are ample toiletries, all usual amenities, a safe, a Keurig, and even bottled water. The room was exceptionally clean!! The only downside was that the seal in the shower wasn't excellent, and after our showers we noticed that there was a sizeable puddle behind the toilet. I've had this happen in other hotels, and unfortunately its just bad design, not the hotel's fault. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks!
