I wish I actually got to stay here, but unfortunately I was NOT given the chance to.
To preface this, I am not a reviewer, nor am I usually the one to complain. However, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a hotel/motel.
I booked through hotels.com, I have booked there before and had no issues. I received a confirmation email about my booking from hotels.com on the day I booked (in June). When I showed up to the property, we noticed there was no staff in the office. We read a piece of paper left on the door that said to check our email for information on “self-serve” check in. I checked my email, I SCOURED my email and found NOTHING from the property or hotels.com since the original confirmation email. I even double checked the check in times and everywhere I looked it said check in starts at 3pm. There was no window given for cut off either. We arrived at the location at roughly 10:00 pm. I had to end up booking somewhere else last minute so we didn’t have to sleep in the car. I messaged the property that night and my partner and I also both tried calling that night to no avail. We had cedar point the next day, so we weren’t planning on immediately contacting the property. When we woke up this morning, I noticed an email from the property at 8:53 am. It had the room number and entry code. I decided to call the property and they directed me to hotels.com. Hotels.com then needed up contacting the property directly and they basically told me I would only ge
