We had a great stay at The Shankly Hotel with the children. The staff were all amazing and welcoming and the decor was a great experience for Liverpool Fans. It was a shame we only stayed for one night and we would 100% be back.

If you need a large room then this is great and the staff were all great. However as a family this wasn’t a nice place to stay. The street had loud music til midnight. The room felt like it needed updating and the bathroom didn’t have a very clean feel as the floor was very stained which gave n overall grubby feeling. It’s basically a hotel that’s great for large parties and hen do’s etc. not for a family

Massive room, obviously normally used for larger parties than our 3. We moved the beds and there was a good bit of dirt underneath, confetti etc. One window didn’t quite close properly. Didn’t impact us in the summer. I’d say the room is frequented by hen parties given the champagne flutes. Have stayed at the Shankly numerous times. Great central location. Helpful staff. A hen party had dancers in the bar on the Saturday afternoon at around 4. Music blaring and wailing at it. We were only there to pick up bags but it would have been a pain in the face for other guests if you’d wanted a quiet drink

Room had a bit of water damage however it met our needs perfectly well, it was very comfortable and very clean. The staff in this hotel are outstanding especially with how busy the hotel got with functions and hen nights. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Liverpool as I doubt they'll find a better hotel.
