Cute but has Musty smell and small.

The bed had 2 strands of hair under the pillow also had some tiny black ‘crumbs’ or crusty scabs on the bed when we arrived. We arrived late and no one was in the office. No room service, no phones in the room. The carpet was dirty and the room smelled musty. It had a portable AC in the room. Very small room and super tiny bathroom and shower. Breakfast comes in a cute basket every morning but only has an apple, one baked good, a pkg of instant oatmeal and 1 juice box. Not enough for my husband and I. I like the balcony, the view from the balcony, the rustic look of the room. Has a cabin look. Close to the village. Parking is super convenient. I just wish it was cleaner and fresher feeling inside.

For a solo traveler this is a great option, as its centrally located and easy to get to anywhere in town and the many nature hikes in the area. Loved the back porch with a view directly into the woods. As noted by other guests, only possible downside are the thin walls.

The Bunkhouse could be good, but there is lots of room for improvement.  Pros: The view from the porch is nice. The staff is friendly. There is outside seating in the front. Seperate kitchen area from bedroom  Bedroom can be blacked out during the day.  Close to hiking trails, nature center, and the town. Cons.  The walls in the rooms are parper thin. The people in the room next to us had the tv loud and were yelling through the night. We could hear the news channel they were watching and their conversation crystal clear. Don't expect to sleep if you have inconsiderate neighbors. My first morning the neighbors cell phone alarm woke me up at 6AM and they immediately turned on the TV and were having a conversation at a volume above the TV. All of which could be heard through the wall.  The hotel provides earplugs for noise, but only 2 and they were the weakest earplugs I've ever used. Didn't drown out anything. We booked a 4 day stay and room service never came.  The shower curtain is placed in a way that all the water drips off the curtain outside the shower and onto the floor. The breakfast is a joke. Everything in the room seems jerry rigged. The lights are all connected to an extension cord. Even the ceiling fan. The wall outlets are missing covers. Major fire hazards. Overall this place has potential, but needs improvements.

Beautiful workmanship with all Knotty Pine Interior. Very creative use of natural sources for the decor. A simple Cabin-Like atmosphere, well kept over many years. Felt like a Hide-away, without Luxurious foolishness. Very reasonable rates, way below the other Hotels/Motels. We loved it, and our doggy, too! Simple kitchen, with apt size fridge/Micro. Rugged deck over looking fabulous Forrest vista.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay! The place was cute, quiet, and had everything we needed. It's also very close to town so convenient to go in and out. I loved the little touch of delivering a small breakfast basket to your room on weekends - adorable! We would definitely stay here agin.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Bunkhouse. I was up for the Celtic Faire and it was a great place to rest my head after the long days. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and it was great having a kitchenette. The only downsides were the bathroom was on a very noticeable slope so tricky to get used to in the middle of the night. shower was very small, with very little water pressure and the breakfast while nice was very lack luster from the photos online. Still would highly recommended and will definitely be back.

Cozy and convenient

We really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Loved that there was a mini kitchenette area so we could make breakfast/lunch there. Some of the plates were dirty and there was a lot of dust on the lamps and a few other areas of the room. Everything else seemed quite tidy and clean. The back deck was a nice touch and we felt very cozy there between hikes. The flowers out front were beautiful! Would definitely come back 😊

Definitely recommend!

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at this place. It was very cozy and comfortable. It's a cute little place and would definitely recommend it and the cost was very affordable. And its just up the road from the village which was a blast to walk through.
