It was wonderful. Just as described, but better. In Canyon De Chelly right in the Navajo Nation. All staff were friendly and courteous. We booked a wonderful 4 hr canyon tour that was amazing! Cafeteria style restaurant, but items were also made to order. Huge portions and delicious.

Very pleasant. Sure like not having to use an elevator plus Thunderbird Lodge has its own cafeteria for breakfast - they have real shelled eggs that taste good instead of many of the IHG properties serving dried out tasteless eggs. Thunderbird a more homely enviroroment.

It is a great location for visiting Canyon de Chelly. The cafeteria needs updating- breakfast is nice but I would not recommend eating dinner there. The tours leave from the property and are wonderful.

I love this place, the environment is great, love the sustainability choices. Overall a fun time, and right next to Canyon de Chelly.

Rooms were a little small, but otherwise excellent. Quiet, clean and everything worked. Rooms were very well lit. Cafeteria was very good. No need to go into Chinle to try and eat. Not much in Chinle to begin with. Canyon tour was interesting and fun. All round great experience.

Good base to explore Canyon de Chelly. Offers Navajo guided canyon tours. Staff all very friendly. Room was spacious with 2 queen beds and a good sized dining table. Tiny bathroom. In room cups/glasses all disposable. On site canteen serves basic meals to guests and locals - another option is eat-in/takeaway from Chinle. On Navajo land, so no alcohol and no daylight saving (so 1-hr ahead of southrn Arizona in Summer)

The heater did not work in our room despite the fact that we had it set to 90 degrees with the fan on high. The room never warmed up. The blankets are very thin. The bed an pillows were hard. I slept wearing my clothes and my winter jacket.
