The room was rather small for 2 people and a bit hot But the other 4 rooms I had booked for my children were large and comfortable - slightly odd they got better rooms !

We had a really lovely stay here and the experience was excellent from the moment we arrived. After driving for around four hours we were quite tired, but the welcome we received immediately lifted our spirits. The staff were fantastic, and the gentleman who I assume was the manager, a Scandinavian chap, was especially friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived, but he still managed to find us a table which we really appreciated after such a long journey. The room itself was fantastic. It was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for our family. The kids had their own separate room which worked really well, and the bathroom had both a separate shower and bath. There were also chocolates on the pillows which the kids absolutely loved. Dinner had a great home-cooked feel, exactly what you want from a good pub restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was equally good. We arrived a little early but the continental breakfast was ready with fresh fruit and juice, and the cooked breakfast menu had a great choice. Again, a really friendly chatty chap from Cornwall was waiting on us, just really made us feel at home and relaxed. Overall a fantastic stay with genuinely friendly staff, great food and a really comfortable room. We would happily stay again.

Our stay at The Ethorpe Hotel was excellent! The double room was spacious, had a tv, kettle with multiple options for a hot drink and we were given complimentary chocolate. The bathroom was modern and clean with a rainfall shower! The bed was comfortable and extra pillows are available in the wardrobe! We also had dinner and breakfast during our stay. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, staff are attentive and food was delivered quickly. The breakfast has a range of drink options and toast, cereal, croissants and yogurts is part of the breakfast as well as a main meal. I recommend this hotel. Very glad to have stay here.

Friendly and super efficient staff - check in was a breeze. We stayed in a standard double room which was lovely and cosy. Bed was comfortable, leading to a great nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room too, an added bonus. Delicious coffee bags. Would definitely return. Thank you!

We had a great stay. We were met by a lovely receptionist with a great sense of humour and very friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable as was the bed. Bathroom was very clean and great details. Will certainly stay here again. We had a double aspect but certainly did not hear any traffic from the roads. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only 1 point the pillows were a bit short but comfortable. Breakfast was really good as well.

We had a lovely one night stay in the quadruple family room as part of my husband’s 50th birthday weekend. The staff were friendly and welcoming, our room was beautifully decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The breakfast was lovely although the portions were on the small side (that could just be me being greedy though) 😂 We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel within 30 mins of London. Visited for the NFL on a Sunday. Arrived early and the staff booked in our car for parking without any issue. Returned to check in after the game which was very efficient. Drinks and snacks in the bar area on Sunday evening were brilliant and breakfast the following morning the same. Staff excellent, especially the gentleman at breakfast (sorry, didn't catch his name). only negative was how hot the hotel and room were, but we turned the radiator off and took the fan out of the cupboard so being slightly picky. Would definitely return and recommend.
