Worst Hotel Experience Ever –Completely Misleading

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The condition of the room was extremely poor and absolutely not worth the price. What was most unacceptable was that the room I was given looked nothing like the photos shown on the booking website. Instead of a standard room on the main floors, I was placed in one of two attic rooms, which were dark, cramped, and completely unsuitable for use as hotel accommodation. The wardrobe was old, dirty, and poorly maintained, with doors that couldn’t close properly — one even secured with a makeshift bolt, which felt very unsafe. The bathroom was outdated and in terrible condition; water splashed everywhere while showering, and the showerhead was barely usable. The entire room felt run-down, with stained walls and a lack of basic comfort. This was a deeply disappointing experience. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Don’t like dogs running everywhere. The bed was not comfortable. My room number 117 was freezing cold. The wind was coming across the water and actually moving the curtains. They need to fix those windows. Breakfast was good.

Desk staff lad was very nice. Room was ok, toilet flush water kept running, only half a roll of loo roll, window frames and skirting need sanding and re-painted. Bed was comfy view was great. Breakfast staff were not that attentive especially an older lady, she was miserable. Breakfast choice was poor very little for vegetarian and at £15 each I would go somewhere else. Was a bit improved since our last visit in September.

Book if you have no expectations

Awful from start to finish. I never leave reviews but this hotel was so bad i felt i had to. Everything is falling apart,rooms and windows completely run down,public areas tired and in poor decorative state, no room service while we were there no towel change,no coffee tray renewal,no towels replaced, no bed made. Breakfast nothing was replenished ,you had to ask for the missing items. And whwn you check in,if you have a car,they charge you £6 a night for parking, something not highlighted in their information. Felt sorry for the tourists as this hotel dies not offer even basic decent accommodation for the price

Not as exoected

When we booked the room that was pictured was nothing like the room we got, the one we got is badly in need of refurbishment, had they shown the one we got we would not have booked, also when we asked to change they said it was fully booked but was still showing rooms available on another booking site, also booked this hotel as yiu get parking but could not get parking in the day, very disappointed!!

The worst I had been to !

The property is like falling apart: the lift is very shaky. The floor is creaking when walking. The bed is making noise whether you are getting on it or off it. The pillows are like twenty years old so uncomfortable. The carpet was dirty. The paint was coming off the wall. The pipes were rusty. No car space available as they put cones for customers staying two days or more ? We are not customers? Is it not first come first serve ? Absolutely ridiculous…

Worst hotel ever!!! Run down and gross!

This place is terrible. It’s run down and dilapadated. Holes in the wall. Windows are open but can’t close them. Killed four spiders during our stay and there are cobwebs in the curtains and elsewhere. People smoking weed at night outside and can’t stop the smell because of the nailed open windows. The breakfast was disgusting. We paid for it and never used it the other three mornings we were there. The eggs looked like soup. Just gross all around. The parking is a disaster. Had to park at other lots around the area but then had to pay. They don’t tell you that. The elevator holds two pieces of luggage and one person if you’re lucky. An old old hotel that could be something but wow - what a letdown. Terrible. Don’t stay here!

Tired hotel

We had a one week stay. The room condition was poor. Hot water took 10 minutes to arrive. The heated towel rail didn’t work for the first 2days and the extractor didn’t work . The sash window only had one rope so didn’t open. One table lamp didn’t work. The whole hotel is very tired with rotten windows and stair carpet with holes.
