It is a hidden gem of motel. Our hikes was at Stanley and stay at Stanley was 350 per night . This place was only 100. Dining options was great around . Room was clean and beds comfortable. Lisa at front desk was sweetest and friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

They have a room up near the lobby that they have converted into a small kitchen. It is very nicely decorated and gave us access to pop some popcorn while on the road! It was a nice touch for a country hotel. :)

Clean and quiet, if outdated and rather spartan. Room had a CRT television, so that took me back. Honesty, it was just fine for a bed and a shower, and the price was reasonae.

Great stay

The front desk staff was very helpful and kind and she spaced the hotel guests almost like a checkerboard so we had no one above or below or beside us, and that made for a very quiet stay. I don’t know why more hotels don’t do this. Of course, if it was a busy night, she wouldn’t have been able to space us so much but we greatly appreciated the quiet stay. This hotel is dated and in need of some repairs (room 210 had two broken lamps and broken window pane), but it was clean and comfortable. Bottom line, we would stay here again. If you need anything for your stay visit the Dollar General it’s incredibly clean and the staff are friendly.

There is NOTHING about our stay there that was good. Room was dirty, holes in the wall, mold in the bathroom, did not service the room, garbage cam was full, someone else's food in the refrig, curtain falling off the window .

For the price we paid for a night I didn’t expect much and was pleasantly impressed. I felt the hotel was clean. I did not like that there wasn’t a deadbolt or additional lock for the door. You can tell the door had been patched from being broke into before. The fridge wasn’t plugged in when we arrived so it was ineffective.

I had locked my door to leave. When I came back my door was unlocked and some of my property was moved around in the room. They claimed it was their room service maids but the bed was still not made and all the pillows/sheets/blankets were exactly how I left them. They also put me in a room with a smaller bed and less accommodations than I had payed for and offered no refund for the original price. I ended up paying the price for a king size bed room when instead they had moved my pregnant wife, my dog, and I into a twin size bedroom. They also offered no proper body wash or shampoo for the showers. The shower drain was plugged and the tub kept holding water even without the drain plug in. The towels we received were also dirty and one of them had old human feces on them from someone wiping their ass with. The bathroom fan did not work either. The kitchenette that they had there was extremely dirty with old nasty dishes and food still in them that were clearly a few days old. I 100% do not recommend this place.

No covers on drains with visible hair left in them, broken window, door was painted so it stuck and you had to jam your shoulder into it to get it to open. You also had to slam it to get it closed.

Cheap for a reason

This property was cheap, but would have paid more in hindsight. This property was beyond tired and in need a of a good Molotov cocktail. Dirty gravel parking lot, a mostly absent front desk, missing wash cloths. Curtains so thin you could read a newspaper through them, plus full of holes. See the pic attached to this review. I just can't find anything good to say about this hotel, I would suggest moving on down the road if you have the choice.

Stayed here before was ok. This trip: fridge dirty, esp in tray tracks, unable to adjust fridge temp so our stuff was all frozen, filthy windows, no screen, curtains looked as if a cat attacked them, sheets had splotches of hopefully, paint on them but they had been washed in bleach, bathtub with alot of finish gone, door with, "lock" flimsy, I suppose someone tried to fix it, veeery flat, oooold pillows, very noisy airconditioner, towel rack bent badly and shelf on wall very wigly. Maybe worth half what we paid at best. Did not talk with staff as told they were full and could'nt even get pop mchine filled.

It’s not the “North Gate Inn it’s the “Meth Gate Inn” So I called for a late check in They said that’s fine We get there and ring the bell and call the phone after 30 minutes I finally walk around find the managers room and pound on the door and we could tell someone lives there cause tv was going. After another 15 minutes. I called the sherif cause I was worried the manager was dead or something well the sherif shows up and says I’ll try to hunt them down but are you sure you want to stay here with your baby (he is 10 months old)…. A lot of stuff happens here I’m like it’s only a couple hours we’re exhausted Well30 more minutes and thankfully we finally get ahold of the house keeper to check us in but she barely knows how to check us in. But at least she tried. She put us in the wrong room One that’s all tore up and only has one bed (we booked a 2 bed). Window was broken out and didn’t have a screen. So after 2 hours of dealing with that we left. The next day we find out by a local that it not called the north gate inn It’s called the meth gate inn. They said it know for meth and prostitution.. explains why the sheriff was worried about my 10 month old son

If all you want is a bed, this is the cheapest option in town. Bathroom sink was clogged. Microwave was missing the plate that rotates. Very limited channels on TV. I'm not too picky, and all I really needed was a place to lay down. I took the $40 bucks I saved and went out for an evening meal.
