All i can say is read the reviews!!! We just spent the weekend here and it was amazing!! Mel is mentioned in several times in the reviews and I see why! She goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed. Everything about the stay there was awesome. We will definitely be back!

The check-in staff was friendly & helpful. Check-out was easy. We stayed 4 nights. They don’t enter your room during your stay, which we don’t mind. They are still willing to provide extra towels & garbage removal, if you let the office know. The room was clean, but the furniture is old & a bit worn out. The bed was comfortable. We would likely stay again.

Dont judge a book by its cover. This lodge was excellent. Can use a little update on the outside. But it was very clean on inside and rooms are spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Check in desk was very friendly and helpful. Nice neighborhood and close to surrounding things to do. Would definitely stay again.

Floor in room was covered in burn holes. Trash in kitchen area was full. Brother was pulled over coming out of hotel. Made to do field sobriety test. Not sure I would recommend at all. He passed test after 3 police cars pulled up on him. Dog in pool area acted like it wanted to eat ya.

This room had a nice mini-kitchen which I made a bit of use of. The bed was comfy and the climate control was perfect. As always, Mel was super friendly and made me feel welcome.

We stay at the Thunderbird Lodge for our annual trip to the Medieval Faire of Norman. It is perfect for us. Dog friendly and a small kitchen to heat breakfast and make lunches for the day. Mel is a gem and makes sure we have everything we need.

The room was awesome. Lots of room. The kitchenette is very nice. Very, very clean. They even came and checked on us during a storm. We're going back next month. They even have smoking rooms. Great place!

Older place but reasonably priced. VERY clean and comfortable! Super friendly staff. Close to campus and pretty much everything else in Norman. If you are coming thru for an OU game or two, this is a wonderful place to stay.

I stay here often when visiting OKC and overall every stay has been wonderful. It’s quiet, the bed is comfortable, the shower water hits just right. And most of all the lady Mel is such an amazing person. She is very bubbly and blunt.

I've been staying here when i come to visit with old friends for a few days. All I need is a clean quiet room to sleep in; Thunderbird Lodge provides just that. On the outside, it appears that it might be previously neglected property undergoing slow modest careful renovation. It's a solid two-star motel offering no breakfast nor functional swimming pool, but quiet, inexpensive, immaculately clean rooms, with extremely helpful and friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. Perfect for my purpose.
