Great location, meh with everything else

Pros: Great location in the FQ. We asked for a quieter room and it was thankfully pretty quiet. Cons: There was an extra unexplained charge after we left. Still trying to get a hold of the staff to clear it up. Even though we added a request for a pet free room, there was a note that we had a pet. The room and hallways had a weird smell. There was a hair on one of the towels. The toilet paper dispenser was rusty and fell on our last day. Not the most friendly staff. The fridge was lop sided.

Perfect location and friendly staff

This hotel had so much character. Upon checking in, Leticia was so kind and very polite. Besides helping us with the perfect room, she also told us about the activities that were available and helped us get one setup right away. Once entering the room, it was better than I imagined. I loved how there was a wall that separated the living room from the bedroom. It was so spacious and the closet was a perfect size. The tearoom looked like was renovated recently. The only suggestion I would have would be to move the restroom mirror lower for short guests like myself. I was too high and I’m 5’1. The location was ideal because it was just a few blocks away from bourbon street. I highly recommend this hotel.

Horrendous.

I have no clue why this hotel has such high ratings. The property is in really bad condition. Service is horrendous and negligible. They didn’t clean our room, the toiletries were empty, the rollout bed was a thing out of a horror movie, the room was dirty, the towels were pretty much rags…the list goes on. That is what is within their control. Outside of that, the noise levels from room to room are disturbing. Unless there is nothing else available in the vicinity, I would advise to stir away from this —— hole.

Cute hotel but needs improvements

Hotel is pretty as you walk in and the representative was nice and helpful. The rooms were decent. The beds were terrible though. Squeaky and hard. They def need to invest in better beds. I booked a room with 2 queen beds but the beds seemed like they were only full size. You can hear everything in the hall and in the rooms around you. It needs better sound proofing. Over all, the stay was decent and the hotel is in a great location. However, after 3 nights, my back is killing me and we had horrible nights of sleep because of the lack of comfort.

No where to load and unload

New Orleans is always an interesting place to visit. The food was amazing, we ate at the Cotier several times and each time did not disappoint. The problem was with the fact that the room was not soundproof, there was NO place for my dog to poop. She didn’t mind peeing on the cement, but refused to poop on it. The check in girl was friendly, but the next shift that came in after her was completely unhelpful. She couldn’t direct us to any small shops and just printed us off a map, which was at least something. Also the parking SUCKS. People stayed park in the area that was for loading and unloading, so we had to traverse 2 blocks with luggage, a 5 year old and a dog. The hotel was nice, but won’t be staying here again. Overall great location

Great location , the rest is middle of the road.

Great location and nice people at the reception. Hotel is a little ran-down and shower is not much fun with low water pressure which might not be the hotel's fault. So as long as you don't expect too much and the price is right this hotel is fine.

Overall recommended.

Staff is very friendly. Location is perfect. Close to everything. Charming room, high ceiling, exposed brick. Not luxury, but yet elegant and cozy. Advice: Stay on the lower floor for better water pressure. We also switched our room from facing the alley to one facing the main street because you hear a truck cleaning or picking up garbage that will keep u up for a while.

Great Service, pretty clean, great location

I found the room comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated and liked the size and placement of the tv. The shower was nice and hot and good pressure. I liked the coffee in the lobby and the service was great. We had an issue with getting our room cleaned, but it was resolved after we talked it over with the front desk attendant. I loved the location in the French quarter and the restaurant next door was good quality and easy to access. The shower was tiny but still big enough to use and I had to go into it to turn on the faucet and jump back out before getting sprayed. Tricky! The walls and ceilings seemed thin since I could hear everything going on outside my room.
