Typically I don’t complain but when I’m paying this kind of price and bringing my 5 kids to a place like this, I definitely expect a little better.
Firstly, when I checked in to the hotel, I waited TWO hours in line just to check in. There were multiple employees but only one employee checking people in and all the other employees were moving boxes around…? The line was astronomically long yet none of the employees cared to help us along and were doing other things that made no sense. It felt very unprofessional and rude to the customers to make them wait in a line for 2 hours to check into their room (let alone young kids who have zero patience to wait that long).
Second, we booked a cabana. We were supposed to have a cabana server but no one came to check on us for at least 2 hours. When she finally did come, Multiple times our order was wrong/missing (it would have been easier/faster just to get our food our self). Paying over 200 for a cabana and having that kind of service was extremely disappointing and a waste of money.
Lastly, I am very concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel room and the water park. Multiple times I noticed mold in the water park (even my kids saw it and pointed it out to me). Our hotel room floor was absolutely disgusting like it’s never been cleaned. There was also people in the hotel rooms next to us throwing parties and blasting music at midnight!
This was a terrible experience at GWL and would NOT recommend to anyone
