Greeted on arrival, staff were great. Nice hotel, clean room, lovely bath in the room, lovely view. Sadly the lack of air conditioning ruined it for us. We had the suite on the 3rd floor and it was ridiculously hot and you can only open the windows a very small amount. I definitely wouldn't recommend through the summer months as we didn't sleep well at all.

This is an old building that has been renovated but restricted by its character which is a good thing. The floors are squeaky, but the rooms are clean and airy with large windows, some of which overlook the ocean. The staff was generally friendly except for the overweight desk clerk who kept my breakfast order claiming she did not know who it was for, despite having my name, room number and access to my telephone and email address on the check-in information right there on her computer. She also happened to be the same clerk who had me waiting for 20 mins to check out while she yakked of the telephone, so no, I won't be using them again as much as I liked the area.

The breakfast was varied and plentiful as on offer is continental style as well as a full English. Coffee and tea is self-served from a machine and I think it was amongst the best tasting coffee I have experienced from a machine. The staff and in particular Max was so friendly and helpful.

We stayed for one night before getting Le Shuttle over to France. I was looking for somewhere reasonably priced – close to pubs and restaurants ideally with parking – but that doesn’t seem easy in Folkestone. In the end we parked on The Leys (for free) and walked with our cases to the hotel. The room looked a bit tired, but the bed was big and comfortable. We could have used suitcase – luggage racks. There was plenty of space and when you have a bad back – living off the floor isn’t easy! Unfortunately there was a lot of scaffolding up when we stayed. Our view from the window was reasonable but the hotel didn’t look great! Breakfast was pretty good. Kept us going until we got to France.

Great location on sea front. Shops and take aways nearby - we arrived after 7 and managed to get some fish and chips. Nice apartment with separate bathrooms. Only issue was there's a security light outside that goes off randomly and is very bright and penetrates the sides of the curtains.

Warm welcome from the staff who were very helpful and friendly. Elevator in hotel which was a bonus and room upon entering was clean and very spacious for a standard room. Bath was included as well as shower which was nice, beautiful view of a large garden and sea view. We didn’t try any food although the selection looked good. Very comfortable sleep and check out was great too, would 100% stay again.

The heating was on in the bedroom, so a tad on the hot side till we turned radiators off and opened windows as far as the safety guards allowed, but this is small beer for an excellently priced and clean hotel under a good brand like Radisson too. The staff were polite and attentive, as were those who worked in the dining room. We shall be staying there again.

Great little find. We only needed a simple one night stay before an early morning trip on the Shuttle, but we found the hotel to be a welcoming, friendly, comfortable place. Great location, easy parking, very helpful and happy staff, large, comfortable room, good shower. We even enjoyed a pint in the sun on the terrace, and stayed for dinner too — very tasty and good value. A great stay overall, with an extra emphasis on the location and view, and the staff. We were made to feel very welcome, extremely kind and helpful guy on the desk, and afterwards too, when dealing with some lost property. Felt like an old fashioned, proper hotel, rather than a faceless, modern chain. We saw young, old, couples, families, and dogs! All enjoying the stay. Huge thanks and highly recommended.
