The receptionist was excellent and friendly. Room was basic but clean. Good value for money. Only a short walk to town centre and beach. I had a family room with double bed and a single bed. Parking on site but it will be on a first come basis. Didn’t try the breakfast but it smelt lovely.

The hosts are very friendly, check in was super quick and easy. Our room was quite spacious as was the ensuite. Comfortable bed and clean room. The rooms lobby and landings could do with a facelift, it's a bit dated, but basic amenities are more than adequate. Breakfast is purchased separately if required and is reasonably priced. I'd return there for a night or two. Parking can be challenge, but is not impossible, we were told to park on the gravel at the front, as long as you don't block anyone in it's perfectly fine. Close to the sea front and central clock tower, sealife centre crazy golf and theatre. Turn right out of the top of the road and there's a tranquil little rockery garden on the front I've never been to until now. Enjoy your stay.

We had a weekend stay in Monsell Hotel in a ground floor twin room which was great for mum as she has problem with stairs. The hotel is well located only a 10 minute stroll from the clock tower, shops & beach just a little further. The hotel is clean & has basic amenities, the staff are welcoming & friendly.

I had a large good room with an ensuite. The hotel is located very close to the beach and to town. I was on a work trip and it was the off season so the hotel was quiet. For the price I paid I feel the hotel provided a great stay. Really good WiFi.
