The Royal Cancun overall was good. The only bad thing was the customer service, was not the friendliest. Also the constant tipping, i would of liked to do 1 tip at the end of my trip instead of every meal and every drink order. Room service was super super good !!!

Resort is fantastic! We had an absolute blast with our family. Everything was perfect the entire stay. Food and drinks were excellent and the rooms are over the top. The staff is amazing and kind. What a bargain this trip was. We will always remember this beautiful trip.

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay. We were visiting Mexico with two other families. It is very difficult to find hotels that accommodate 5 people and therefore we were limited in our choices of hotels. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The Royal Cancun grew on us during the week we stayed. It is a calm, quiet environment, with self lef activities available during the day. Having access to the Royal Sands accommodations was a great addition for a change in scenery. The Italian restaurant was great, as well as the seafood restaurant at the Sands. We would have loved to have more activities for the family to do at night (we were there for a week and one night they had a silent disco that was really fun). We thankfully were thwre with two other families so we were able to entertain oursleves with games and swimming. I would recommend for families or people that are looking for a calm, relaxing vacation

We just spent 5 days here 4 adults & 2 kids (4 & 2) I will say that the kids club would be a 0 stars if I could. No flexibility they have nothing really in the club but a table, tv, some legos, and maybe 2 toys. Girls were not really welcoming when we walked in. Please keep in mind at Royal Cancun & Royal Sands (same hotel chain) only kids from (4-12) are allowed if below 4 then kids aren’t allowed to stay not even with a guardian present. Royal Cancun only had two food options 2 restraunts& Room service (each person that delivered & took order was super nice) food is decent but selection is limited. Rooms were super clean & security at entrance always super welcoming and nice including the bellboys. Royal Sands room a lot more modern & the hotel itself a lot nicer. Water park, bigger pool. & more restaurantsOne MAJOR complaint is that I hired a nanny 3 days out of the 5 days & the first day (at Royal sands) they had me fill out a paper & she left her ID at the front desk. The second day they made me pay a bracelet for her which I think is unfair because they offer nanny services onsite but they are not permitted to be in the pool or beach area with the kids so I hired a company external recommended by front desk when I called for information yet no mention that i would have to pay this fee. & the nanny mentioned that other hotels like moon palace, Xcaret, etc don’t make you pay the nanny a day pass. ($115, I paid). Personally wouldn’t stay here again.

I really appreciated the variable food options at the Royal Cancun and the options to be able to go to the sister resort also. Nice change of scenery and fun. The staff was attentive and efficient. We had lots of fun playing tennis and basketball many nights with the kids. The laundry facilities were very handy. Food was good and lots of options at the buffet and drinks were great too. Nice sandy beach and loved the options to use the kayaks and other amenities. Great area for swimming with low waves

This is the best property for families with kids and grandparent! Everything is very close and easy to get to, pool, beach, food and everything else. Best staff very friendly and great suites with full kitchen and 2 bedrooms! Will defiantly be back there again!

Nothing to do at night at the resort, not enough dinning options (2) and the beach has a lot of seaweed. Plus there is a surcharge on premium foods or drinks. We hung out at the pool and enjoyed the view and relaxed all week. The wait staff was great. I personally won’t be returning

We had an amazing stay at Royal Cancun. The rooms were clean, spacious and perfect for a family. The pools were great and there was always enough space for everyone. The hotel offered several activities including water aerobics, bingo, volleyball etc. The option for 24/7 room service was amazing and the kids loved being able to get breakfast in the room.
