Carried luggage’s upstairs

The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs

The breakfast staff where superb. Huge thank you to Lorna On the Wednesday morning, excellent customer service. Hats off to Holly and all the staff for making our few days honeymoon extra special. We will definitely be regulars.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated and extra large bed was excellent. Highland Soap Company shampoo, conditioner and shower gel was a great touch. Helpful staff & nice food in restaurant. Parking was full when we arrived but was able to park on main street overnight and move car in morning. Breakfast menu was great but food was not hot when served - only small point. Would definitely stay here again.

Glad I didn’t have luggage with me, as there was no where to put it, in fact , no where to put anything, and the weirdest wardrobe I’ve ever seen. In a small space above the kettle and the iron, so every time your kettle boils, your cloths get steamed too. A rail just above.

Everything was great. The room was excellent. The food was amazing. With nice big plate fulls 😊 Staff were on top of all our needs. Only one complaint. Cashless. I'm not a fan of cashless businesses. Apart from that. The McKays Hotel and Restaurant was well worth it. Highly recommend 👌

Very impressed when I stepped through the doors of McKays hotel. It was lovely and warm and cosy with traditional festive decorations on display. Check in was good with the nice young lady booking my time in for breakfast too. She also asked if I was aware I had booked my room for the annexe opposite, I did know this, but she just wanted to make sure I was okay with this, nice touch. When I entered the annexe I was bowled over on how beautiful it was. The property appears to have had a dramatic makeover the public areas were bright. freshly decorated and fitted with luxurious deep lush carpet. My room although a tad on the small side was exquisite with quality furniture and fixtures. The bathroom blew me away and contained huge fluffy towels and expensive local toiletries. Breakfast consisted of self service cereals, yoghurt, bread, pastries, hot and cold drinks. There was about 10 different hot options to suit all tastes, and it was so nice to be served this at your table. I choose the traditional scottish which consisted of top notch ingredients cooked to perfection, faultless, best haggis ever. Property and staff were all amazing lot's of effort put in and it shows.

Fantastic little gem of a hotel. Immaculate rooms, super comfy bed, great powerful shower. The breakfast was yummy and the staff were fab. 100% will be back and highly recommend. My feedback for a teeny improvement - the toilet seat didn’t fit and was too small but still perfectly presented and immaculately clean 😃 Thank you
