I booked the nightlife experience room which is above a bar. I can sleep through anything so I did not experience any discomfort. I would not recommend it to people who don't sleep steadily. The woman working there was very helpful and so kind which is always a perk. 🙂 Very good location as well, beautiful room. There's some water excess while showering but is easily taken care of by putting a towel on the floor. I would therefore recommend it and reward it with a solid 9 out of 10.

Stannade bara en natt men vi hade det väldigt bra här. Rummet var rent och fint, inte så slitet. Inte så stort men räckte bra till oss. Läste andra dåliga recensioner om en brant trappa och hög musik från en alla krogar runt omkring. Och visst det stämde men gjorde oss inget. Hotellet kanske inte passar om du vill gå och lägga dig tidigt och sova ostört. Vi är mycket nöjda med vistelsen här.

Review was a nice walkable distance to everything and the staff were super friendly. The frustrating part was the A/c was actually turned off and having the window open to cool off room brought in the smell of fried food from restaurants nearby and loud music till the early am hours.

The bar below us stays open until 4:00 or 5:00am depending on the night. The dj keeps the music going with a loud bass. Probably 80 people outside the bar chatting, yelling, smoking. Did not sleep properly any night. The room itself was small. There was a fridge which was great. And the bed was decent. Shower spills out into rest of bathroom. Staff were very nice and helpful.

This was our first time visiting Amsterdam and loved our stay at The Bolster. The hotel is conveniently located by the tram with access to the entire city. There are bars and restaurants right by the hotel as well as walkable options. The accommodations were right what we expected.

Was looking forward to staying here at the bolster being a frequent traveller in Amsterdam I have spent a lot of time in Rembrandtplein but not stayed before, Prior to arrival I had good communication with the hotel to advise of my arrival (they asked) I agreed to arrive at stated booking time of 2pm On arrival I was told check is 3pm and my room Wouldn’t be ready till then, I loaded my booking and other booking providers information that all show booking is at 2pm as well messages from the hotel staff. The staff member on duty blamed in her words errors by low capacity staff that they give second chances too and allow to work. Why on earth this was needed to be told to me. Anyway my plans were ruined I had booked a private boat to celebrate a anniversary for 4pm and now had now where to get ready till 3pm. On return at 3 I was offered 2 miniature soft drinks as an apology this was offensive as firstly they are tiny and what humane person drinks coke. Room cleanliness was 6/10 dusty Coffee machine didn’t work

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bolster. I would advise people that this is located in a very busy/touristy part of Amsterdam with outdoor restaurants and clubs. You can hear the noise slightly even 2 floors up. The staff were friendly and polite, they allowed us to enter our room early and to leave our luggage with them at check-out. Very comfy bed, with a tv and a/c. Would recommend a stay if you are going to explore the city as its in a great location making everywhere easily walkable.
