I had a pleasant stay at Owl Cave Hotel and really enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the environment was. The staff were generally warm and helpful, and the location worked perfectly for all my tours pickup and drop-off were smooth and convenient every single day. My room was beautifully lit, surprisingly spacious, and perfect for taking photos. Breakfast was also lovely and freshly made every morning, which I appreciated. There were a few things that could be improved, such as room heating and cleaning consistency, and I think the hotel would benefit from cleaner pet management. But overall, the stay was comfortable, the ambience was serene, and Cappadocia felt magical from here. Special shout out to the beautiful female receptionist.

The overall experience was good and a special mention for the breakfast should be made as it was excellent ! However we were a bit disappointed that the room had a strong sewage smell and that when we brought it up it was only fixed temporarily (smell was back in less than a day). It was also slightly perturbing that the honeymoon suite which has a lovely direct access to the terrace comes with other hotel guests sometimes smoking/drinking/chatting right next to your room. Moreover the parking situation is complicated. There is no hotel parking and the street parking is hard to get (we were not in high season).

Room was a little damp as expected for a cave hotel but clean. The staff was excellent, very attentive, thoughtful, and spoke good English. We had to leave for the airport early (before their breakfast time) but the staff went out of their way to prepare sandwiches for us.

Séjour ok avec vue imprenable

Petit hôtel , donc peu de monde. Appreciable pour profiter des terrasses avec des vues imprenables sur la ville, sunset/sunrise et montgolfières. Équipe accueillante et un gros coup de cœur pour la cheffe qui a adapté le petit déjeuner à mes intolérances alimentaires (gluten, lactose). Un petit-déjeuner énorme et très bon fait maison. Chambre en cave jolie. Bémol : pas d’eau chaude le soir, chaud dans la chambre (chauffage au sol?). Ménage pas fait tous les jours. Fuite d’eau au sol dans la douche. Manque un store à l’une des fenêtre mais il y des rideaux épais, donc pensez au masque de nuit. Bar en face avec musique live les soirs, agréable à écouter. Mais attention si vous voulez vous coucher tôt <23h). Excursions proposées très bien.

Proches de toutes commodités… idéal pour visiter la corne d’or d’Istanbul. Personnel attentif et à l’écoute… sur recommandation de l’accueil, TRAM face à l’hôtel et à 20 mn de la place Sultanahmet , mosquées Bleue, Sainte Sophie, Palais de Topkapi, Basilic citerne et grand bazar… embarcadères à une station de TRAM pour visite en bateau depuis le Bosphore. Hôtel, chargé d’histoire, comme sortie d’un autre temps… très agréable !

Çalışanlar son derece güler yüzlü ve kibardı, kendimizi çok iyi hissettik. Kahvaltısı oldukça lezzetli ve özenliydi. Otel bir “cave hotel” olduğu için yaz aylarında biraz sıcak olabilir; bu nedenle daha serin mevsimlerde tercih edilmesini tavsiye ederim — bu, tüm mağara oteller için geçerli bir durum. Terası ise kesinlikle görülmeye değerdi; sabah saatlerinde balonları izlemek için mükemmel bir manzara sunuyor.

C'était un magnifique séjour ! Ugur nous a très bien guidé et conseillé sur la région et les activités/lieux à ne pas rater. Les déjeunés de Madame Filiz étaient un vrai régal ! Les chambres sont super confortable, les 2 terrasses de l'hôtel donnent une magnifique vue sur la ville et surtout le vol des montgolfières 😍. Nous vous conseillons les activités proposées par l'hôtel, qui sont super aussi.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was staying in the lowest priced cave room but it was still very comfortable and had enough space for me and my things for 3 days. Goreme is small so I guess it doesn’t really matter where you stay but it felt like I was located in an ideal spot up the slope with nice views of the town, within a short walk of everywhere, including the bus station for my onward journey. Saif couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful to me, helping to find a spot on a balloon at the last minute and putting up with my dithering due to the elevated costs (following a no fly day). He also helped re-arrange a sunset ATV tour that I’d booked, and booked me on to the Green Tour at the last minute, plus helped with arranging my onward travel. He even offered to help with anything else whilst I was still in Turkey, over and above what you could reasonably expect from a host. The rest of the staff were all great too and happy to chat and help where needed - especially the 4am wake up calls for the balloon flights. If that wasn’t all good enough to recommend a stay here, then the breakfast is the icing on the cake. Beautifully prepared and laid out and served with a smile. That personal touch made it very special and better than every other breakfast I’ve had during my stay. Oh yeah, and Toffee the house pug was good company too

Really enjoyed my stay at the Owl Cave Hotel! The staff are SO lovely, I couldn’t imagine staying with nicer people. They have a dog named Toffee and he is just the sweetest!! They have a morning breakfast prepared by their own of their staff, and it’s SUPERB! And she is so sweet! She was making some fresh jam and the entire place smelled intoxicatingly delicious! The place is also really clean and well maintained! I will say for anyone who may have allergies or breathing issues any cave hotel might not be the best fit, or be prepared with your meds! That’s general to all cave hotels. They made sure I had everything I could need, and the location is extremely convenient! Thanks again to everyone for hosting us!
