Friendly and professional staff, walkable if you enjoy waking, but close to major sites and subway stations if not. Kitchenette was equipped for easy prep of light dinners and breakfast. Enjoyed our stay here.

Great apartment with two rooms, a kitchenette and lots of space! Everyone was very friendly, spoke good English, and was very helpful. Hotel was in easy walking distance of the Imperial palace and transportation.

Quiet Kyoto Neighbourhood Gem

Four Sisters is a very well-run apartment hotel located in a quiet Kyoto neighbourhood. There are lots of good quality bars restaurants, cafes bakeries combinis supermarkets etc all within a five-minute walk. It's only a short walk to public transport which means the amazing sights of Kyoto are readily accessible. We stayed a two-bedroom apartment on the first floor that was very clean and spacious and well appointed. My family of two adults and two kids really enjoyed our five-night stay at Four Sisters and would love to stay there again.

Super clean and the front desk can speak English well. The place is big and beautiful, for a group of 4, you have plenty of space. It feels like you’re at home. It has a kitchen, dining and living room. I highly recommend this place.

Kyoto Four Sisters Residence was a wonderful place to stay for our visit to Kyoto. Conveniently located and easy pick up/drop off spot for Go-Taxi. There are many wonderful places to eat close by and it was not on the main street which was great. The sweet bakery next door was perfect for breakfast grab-n-go, especially for our little children. Check in and out was so easy. Communication with staff as well as email was quick and efficient. The room fit our party of 6 very comfortably and felt like home away from home. I highly recommend staying here. We will certainly be staying here again on our next visit to Japan.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Easy to access from a subway station or nearby bus stops. In a very quiet neighbourhood. Staff very helpful. The apartment had everything you wanted for a short stay. It comfortably accommodated my wife and I and our daughter and 8 year old grandson. Lots of very helpful tourist advice as well.

The property is so clean and accessible to the grocery store but most of all, close to Nijo Castle and the Imperial Palace. Special mention to Mickie who did a superb job in booking us a ride from Kyoto to Osaka. We were satisfied with Mickie with her excellent English. Thanks also to the driver who took us to Osaka. We did not have a hard time in communicating because of her superb English.

I really enjoyed how this property gives you a local vibe. I didn’t see many other foreigners in the area, it felt very local. The area felt safe and we had no problems checking in and checking out. The room has everything you need if you plan to stay for a long duration. They have a washer and you can dry your clothes either in the washroom or outside in the balcony. A kitchen and also very spacious bedroom, living room. I especially enjoyed their shower and tub which was very relaxing after a long walking day. One down side, its a little of a further walk from the nearest station.

The apartment was very complete and modern. We loved the kitchen and the diningtable so that we could have breakfast in our apartment. A good supermarket is on 10 minutes walking distance. Also Nijo Castle is on walking distance as well as the busstop and the trainstation. The bathroom has a very nice dryingsystem which we loved. Also there was enough closetspace which is quite unusual in Japan. The only two things we didn't like was the fact that the matresses were quite hard and the double bed in the separate bedroom was a bit too small. But it is a very good place to stay.

Almost everything was fantastic. From the kitchen, to rooms and the bathroom, everything was great. The rooms were gpod size, clean, well maintained and well equiped all round. It felt really a home away from home. The bathroom doubles as the clothes drying room too as the bathroom system has a heater/ventilation/dryer feature. Though I might still had preferred a dedicated clothes dryer machine, but the workflow still happen to suit me well and this was the first time in cold country where I can feel warm after a bath in winter. The staff were helpful too, able to provide us with baby high chairs etc. And were very polite. Maybe one issue was that the main hall's heater was not really strong enough to heat up the hall, kitchen and ensuite room. Convenience stores, supermarkets and train station were ard 10 minutes walk away (I was with a toddler). The surroundings was very peaceful. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a two bedroom unit as a family after reading so many (surprising) positive reviews. We found the location lacking. Nothing decent was nearby and had to walk 20 minutes to most anything. The unit looked very nice when we first arrived and more spacious than most Japan rentals. However, it was deceiving. The shower was absolutely terrible, the laundry meant that you hung the wet wash in the laundry room and turned on the heater?! All the items felt cheap, the most thing towel and toilet paper I had come across. And you can literally hear everything. Every footstep it felt like. It was kind of a nightmare. We left early.

We had a wonderful stay at Kyoto Four Sisters Residence. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a washing machine and kitchen. The location was excellent—quiet yet within walking distance to Nijo Castle, convenience stores, and restaurants. The staff were kind and responsive, making check-in smooth and easy. Exceptionally clean and pleasant

Excellent stay at Kyoto four sisters recently. We managed to get around to all the tourist spots easily via train and bus from the hotel. The hotel staff were super friendly and the place was exceptionally clean. Highly recommend.

The staff were very welcoming and explained a lot of what we needed to know from the start. We loved the no shoes policy! The room was spacious and having three rings to cook on was brilliant. Inside the room was a booklet with lots of information about the residence and things to do locally. There was an option to have an upper body massage by a local therapist, which was very relaxing. We would absolutely stay here again!
