The location is convenient!

The location is convenient for me to join the cave activity nearby. The room is spacious but I did not get the room key. I was told the key was taken away by someone. It was strange! The flowers around are beautiful! A Jacuzzi pool is available for the guests although I did not have time to enjoy it.

Lovely Small Room but need to share Bathroom

Lovely B&B with Friendly Host. It is one of the Room in the house. The Room is relatively Small but with lovely decoration. Breakfast included and you can enjoy a beautiful scene in the garden. (The host allow us to pick up the fruit in the garden which is lovely). They have a warm pool but we did not try it. Only suitable for driving as far away from City Area. But only need within 10 mins drive and can reach my Waitomo Cave Rafting point. Need to share the bathroom with other guests in the house is the bad part but the Bathroom and Toilet is clean.

Perfect cozy B&B!

We just finish the tongaroir crossing hiking that day .....lucky this Is the perfect place for us to take a rest ! Bed and shower was perfect and cozy ! The breadfast was very nice and fresh! If u wanna stop over before or after you do the tongaroir crossing or watomo black water rafting ...here must be the best cozy B&B for your trip ! Big thanks for the house owner who recommend us to have a dinner at a bar which 5mins drive from the B&B! we ar lucky that their kitchen just open after 9pm !

Great B&B

We had a room with an ensuite. It was large, clean and had a great view over the valley. Owner (and pet dogs) were very friendly. Continental breakfast was excellent.

This was a very comfortable B&B and a beautiful location. You can tell the owner takes pride in the place as it has beautiful landscaping all around. He has also very helpful in advising us about the local area and places to eat.

If I ever booked something like their “Honeymoon Suite” again, I’m sure my wife would divorce me. Where to start? Worn 80’s decor, threadbare but hard small bath towels, the shower mat was wet when we arrived, no place for suitcases but the floor, carpet worn through in places, a shared hot tub just off the little “private” patio, another unit’s patio 3 ft from the bathroom window, endless highway traffic noise - I kept checking that the window was indeed closed - still busy at 2:30 am, but down to a car every minute or so at 3:30 am, no one to greet you on arrival, loud voices through the lightweight door into the main house (which we weren’t to use), must drag suitcases across grass to get to the room, it was wet in the a.m. and my suitcase shed grass clippings into the car and every subsequent hotel room for days. Now we are swearing off any and all B&Bs in the future. Close to Waitomo, but not worth it 😡

Lovely place to stay.

Interesting b/b set up in a no hassle manner. Great views, very comfortable with full use of the facilities and grounds. Includes buffet breakfast. Shared bathroom but this wasn’t a big issue. Trevor was a most welcoming host. Recommended.

Der Garten war sehr liebevoll gestaltet und der Ausblick weitläufig. Wir hatten ein Deluxe-Studio mit eigenem Bad. Das Zimmer war sehr liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, die Einrichtung passte zueinander. Es gab einen Kühlschrank und Tee/Kaffeezubehör. Die Koffer konnte man in einer kleinen Ankleide öffnen, so dass es nicht schlimm war. dass das Zimmer nicht übermäßig groß war. Das Bad war sehr sauber, die Heizlampe war sehr praktisch. An sich war das Zimmer ruhig, man musste nur leider im außen herum gehen und der Whirlpool stand direkt davor (wurde aber zum Glück nicht benutzt). Ein wenig befremdlich fanden wir, dass die Besitzer/Betreuer der Unterkunft im großen Zimmer nebenan gewohnt haben und man überall reinschauen konnte. Das Zimmer der Bewohner wirkte leider ein wenig chaotisch/unaufgeräumt, besonders der PC-Bereich. Es gab einen Self Check-in, die Besitzer haben wir nicht gesprochen. Der Parkplatz ist kostenlos auf dem Grundstück vorhanden. Das Frühstück war inklusive. Der Frühstücksraum ist ebenfalls sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Auswahl war okay, einige Sachen sollten ein wenig öfter überprüft werden (Butter und Marmelade - hier scheinen nicht alle Personen einen extra Löffel/ein sauberes Messer zu nutzen).
