The room had a leak in the bathroom and the drain was broke. The breakfast buffet had limited selections. The pool is not on site. This property is slated for a remodel on Nov. 2025.

My main complaint was the amount noise all night. The room 215 is right by the front desk and could hear every conversation all night long! Could hear the side door slamming and people going up and down the hallway and wooden steps at all hours. Had planned to stay for 2 nights but left early because of the amount of noise and the bed was as firm as sleeping on the floor. Pillows are hard/lumpy and cases are stained. The walls and light fixtures are dusty. Has a beat up desk but no chair. Bathroom needs a good bleaching and tiles scrubbed! The shampoo dispenser on the wall was dirty and didn't work. No microwave in the room but has one in the lobby so you can here it being used as well and Keurig coffee in the lobby was $2! Lol The restaurant is closed on weekdays so plan on bringing food. The outdoor patio has a nice view of the Kentucky River. A nice concrete pad to the side of the building with a small fire pit. Best part is the hiking trail to Cumberland falls.

The rooms are a bit dated and our "river view" wasn't what we were expecting. Typically when we've booked river view rooms the river was the main view. This room gave us a view of lots of trees and the river in the distance. It was very convenient to be able to get up early and walk the trail down to the falls.

First, no refrigerator in the room. Second, who charges 2.00 a cup for lobby coffee? Room was very small, conditioner dispenser broke off in the shower, and can barely fit on the tiny corner toilet. Food is buffet style, but dry. On a positive note, the lady down in the restaurant was very nice and helpful.

Beautiful lodge and great pricing. View was great, rooms were cozy. I do wish there was a mini fridge or microwave in the room, but overall we enjoyed our stay and the value it added to our trip. Would stay here again.

Excellent hotel, service and location. I was there to hike the next day and was grateful for the location's convenience. The room was quite comfortable and quiet in the bed was comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back in the future.

The park and hiking trails and waterfalls are beautiful! The lodge has a gorgeous view of the Cumberland river and nice patio to sit and enjoy it. Our room in the lodge was pretty small but clean and adequate. The bed was very comfortable. The lobby, great room and restaurant felt like scout camp. Those could be renovated and made more cozy and inviting. Staff friendly and nice.

I checked into this hotel and was shocked by the conditions. There were cobwebs in the room, the carpet was stained with what looked like blood, and the beds were full of dog hair and human hair. Absolutely disgusting. The entire room smelled horrible a mix of mold, filth, and something rotten. The bathroom was broken and unusable, and the "social terrace" was dirty, depressing, and clearly not maintained. This place is completely unacceptable and should not be in operation. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone avoid it at all costs. That said, I want to highlight that Hotels.com customer service was excellent. They responded quickly, took my complaint seriously, and resolved the situation directly with the hotel in a professional and efficient way. I really appreciated their support.
