Hoped for a better experience

We think this hotel is charming, and were looking forward to staying here. The first desk clerk I approached sent me to the other desk as it was close to end of her shift. At 4 pm check in time, guests were lined up for the only other clerk who seemed overwhelmed. We didn’t get assigned the king room with chair that we specifically reserved for my aunt who is elderly and sleeps in a chair to breathe. She was so tired after travel that she didn’t want to call desk and insist on another room. The garbage at the front drive was spilling over, and trash was in the parking lot. We enjoyed talking in the elevators with other customers, however the front desk wasn’t very helpful. Coffe for breakfast was good, eggs were excellent. Sausages weren’t warm. Overall service was disappointing.

Nice hotel, disappointed in service

Reserved a king room with a chair for this reservation, since my 84year old aunt sleeps in a recliner due to her breathing issues. Desk first said no king rooms were available, and after some research then gave us a key to what they said was a king room. It was queen room/no chair. My aunt was exhausted so we didn’t ask to change, however she was unable to rest. Bery disappointed after checking in. The hotel is nice, however garbage cans at front were overflowing and there was trash in parking lot. Breakfast had good coffee and great eggs, sausages weren’t hot. I selected pay at property so my aunt could use her own card, however before I arrived the hotel charged my card. Could have gone better.

Fairly nice

It was fairly nice. One thing i didn't care for was the distance of parking from the motel. That and the fact that snacks that were sold werent from a vending machine and twice the price a vending machine would have charged. 5$ for a soda? 4 for s regular candy bar? Just wow. Othed than that the motel was nice. Overall enjoyed the stay

No shower!

The shower did not work in our room. If the bathroom had been cleaned after the previous occupant left, the non-working shower would have been evident. Management did not seem concerned.

They charge your card early

The only complaint that I have is that they charge your card before your arrival. I booked the room onhotel.com and selected to pay at the hotel. They charge the card before my arrival date. Then the GM told an employee that they will give my room away if I don’t pay on that day. I was part of the wedding party that was a guest at that hotel. It was a lot of the wedding party staying there and everyone had the same complaint. I told the employee that when booking on hotel.com it gives the option to pay at the hotel. Then the employee told me she could take the payment over the phone then I said I do not feel comfortable giving my card number over the phone because it is my payroll card and she said it goes in the system and they can’t see the number. Then I said you can be writing it down as I’m telling you and I can’t see that so I do not feel comfortable giving my card number over the phone.. Then she said don’t get mad if your room is given away because you couldn’t pay now. Then I said I will be mad because I chose the option to pay at the hotel and is not my fault that you’ll have that on hotel.com that is something that y’all need to work out with hotel.com and not me. So please get with them and work that out because that is not fair to the guest when we are booking on hotel.com thanks.

Management had no answer. No Management training.

Well right away we had issues with noisy neighbors, from what I’m understanding a college row team. I called to complain that the neighbors were going in and out the room constantly, and slamming the doors. The woman that said to me that I can ask them to keep it down. When she came down to our basement room, she said I don’t know what she can do about it. I asked can I be moved to a quieter floor or room, she acted liked that wouldn’t do anything to make me happy about the stay. Storms came in we lost power there was no one available to talk to about the power situation, I guess no back up emergency generators? Well I sleep with a Cpac severe sleep apnea I couldn’t sleep comfortably at first light we decided to pack up and leave. Our room was completely dark with no light coming in because the first floor was basically the basement. So during our packing we had to use the flashlight from our phone, anyway we left cell phone charger behind and several toiletries behind apparently, when I called the next morning they said nobody saw any items… No Customer Service and a rude so called Manager…. Worst Hotel stay experience ever….,

I don’t believe this is a Wyndham property.

The location of this hotel is great for an easy walk to the restaurants and shopping in this charming town. We stayed at this hotel last year and enjoyed it, this time not so much. The rooms are spacious but the furniture and walls are showing a lot of wear and tear. I don’t think any maintenance had been done on this hotel since our last visit. Flat tires on the luggage carts, shower curtain rod barely hanging on, embedded mold in the bathtub caulk, hand rail almost ripped off the wall in the stairwell, lobby floor was dirty the entire stay. The staff we encountered were all very nice. This hotel has so much potential but management/owners need to step it up.
