Had a nice spa weekend with a group of friends, afternoon tea was not great as the sandwiches were not very fresh but they served a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Good spa facilities but it was quite busy so we could not get loungers for the first hour of being, which was disappointing.

Nice rooms, very very clean. Breakfast service was speedy and staff were very nice and helpful. Let down: on arrival we were not given full brief on timings of cafe/restaurants. We visited the spa and wanted to have some food straight after, where we asked a member of staff if it was open , they said yes, so we approached and then was told no, we stop serving food. Which is fine but would have been good to know on arrival of hotel, so we could plan our time around it. Other than that, definitely recommend this hotel. Staff over all are very good!!

Lovely area, property and grounds

Parking was easy and check in was smooth and efficient. The room was quite small but comfortable. Very comfortable bed which meant we slept well. We did have a problem with our key cards though. For some reason they worked once but then they wouldnt work again so we had to keep going to reception to get a new one. Breakfast was ok but we didnt have cooked. The spa was nice but there was nowhere to sit as all tbe loungers were being used. They could do with a few more seats really. The area around the poolside was extremely slippery. There were large pools of surface water as we walked around the pool and my husband actually slipped as we went in but luckily i caught his arm and stopped him from falling. It made me quite nervous after that.

Good location

A beautiful hotel on the outside; however, the rooms are in need of some TLC and redecorating as there’s quite a lot of scuffs, cracks etc. Service was hit and miss, unfortunately - it really was luck of the draw on who you got!

We had a lovely stay at the Haverley. The Spa was a little busy in the afternoon but the hotel was full. The Thyme restaurant was lovely on the evening. Our room was beautiful and even though it was on the front of the hotel was quiet.

We booed a 2 night stay, due to an event being held on the first night they asked us to move rooms for night one and then move to our booked room for night 2. We agreed on the basis that we could move out and check into the new room at the same time on day 2. However the rooms were not ready and we were left without anywhere to go. When we were finally able to access our room it was above a function room where they were holding a white collar boxing event. The noise and profanities emanating from the function were such that we could t hear the tv. So we retired to the bar only to find it fu of patrons of the boxing event, who were unable to get served at the bar and were kicking off to the point that security had to be called to break up the disturbance. What was supposed to be a relaxing and restorative stay was seriously lacking.
