This "apartment hotel" was a nightmare. Communication was awful: constant, confusing demands for a "Venice tourist tax" via email/WhatsApp before arrival felt like harassment.
The apartment itself, a 20-min walk from the boat, was infested with flying insects (bedroom, bathroom, living room, on everything) due to a window that wouldn't close. The toilet seat was damaged. Hot water was unreliable – scalding then cold if two used it, with fluctuating pressure. The shower was tiny.
The bedroom AC was broken; staff said, "It's not supposed to work." Why have it? A stranger (staff?) entered our room unannounced while I was undressed – a huge privacy breach!
The advertised dryer was broken. Three attempts, same error. We had to hang clothes in the humid apartment; they were still damp days later in Florence (I'm writing this in damp underwear!).
