The staff and team at the Bel Jou Hotel was absolutely amazing. From the time we walk into the time we left, we felt extremely welcomed and appreciated. And the activities on the resort... Wow... make sure you ask about the mixology class.... The only thing I felt that could have been better regarding the hotel was the bathrooms. The shower reminded me of being in a cruise ship.

Bel Jou hotel is highly recommended. It’s a very good value all inclusive hotel in St Lucia. Staff are excellent all polite helpful and friendly. Fire show is staggering with 6 foot flames blow in the air! Excursions with hotel pick were good. We did the zip wire ( actually 8 wires) in the rain forest and also the dolphin and whale watching. We saw 3 whales diving and over 40 dophins. Many people there are on there 2nd or 3rd visit.

Overall I had a great stay at the Bel Jou. I traveled solo and felt safe. I'm pescatarian and there were always options to eat, however, I do have to say the choices by the third day were monotonous, but I did not lack any meals, I just wish it had a little more variety. It was very quite, serene and relaxing, a few activities, but not much to do on the property beyond that and if you just want to relax then this is the place for you. A very more seasoned crowd. The staff is what made my stay extremely enjoyable, always smiling and asking if everything was okay. I would like to thank the following staff members that went out of their way to ensure I was always good: Shanel and Jeanhm at the Verandah Buffet; the Activity Guy (I totally forgot his name, but not is presence); LaLa (Laquita, the masseuse), thanks for getting those knots out my neck! Quintin (Maintenance) for always offering a kind word and a smile! And Dana who always had a smile on her face and always asked if I was good!

Beautiful friendly hotel. We felt safe secure and very well looked after. Staff were so friendly and always on hand to support your need. We checked into a room in the 3rd floor (sea view) and it had a strong smell of damp and mould. We were moved fairly quickly to a new room which also had a faint smell of damp etc. The smell got worse as the week went on and not sure of it was the air con. Our friends also had a sea view room and they had no smell at all. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Food was lovely - we had something new to eat every day. Cocktails were amazing. 2 pools to choose from. The lower pool was very quiet and being in a group of two couples we had fun and were able to relax even if the other residents were especially quiet. Daily exercise in offer and the gym was stocked well enough. Beautiful grounds around the hotel and they offer a free shuttle to the town and beach. We didn’t goto the beach but town was an experience - the market is huge and everyone so friendly. We would definitely return to this hotel. It was relaxing and just what we needed for a weeks break. Thanks everyone ❤️

Way to quiet,lack of activity’s,if your looking to see what it would be like to live in a nursing home,then this is for you.I do have to give a shoutout to a couple employees that were fantastic.Bartender Devon went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay more enjoyable,he has a big fun personality,also another bartender,can’t remember her name but was so good at her job,she was young lady that stated she went to school in the states in Alabama

The staff were very nice and accommodating. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable. The food was really good. Not one bad meal. This is not a walkable property to town, but the shuttle will take you to town and the beach. Just make sure you book the shuttle in advance. We found this out when it was too late. Not an issue though, you can always get the hotel to order you a cab. All the drivers are friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. Lots of Brits and Canadians getting in the sun so not a lot of pool chairs available, they are out there at the crack of dawn reserving their chairs. I encourage you to book some tours if you like a little more action when you vacation. If not this place may be a little too chill for you. The evening entertainment was lovely. Great music, fire show, and karaoke night was a hoot. The view from the property was amazing and you will enjoy the lovely breeze being up so high. I would definitely vacation here again. Such beautiful people and island.

Good all inclusive near Castries. Staff are great - very helpful. Good choice of food. Good range of eating options. Entertainment a bit hit and miss - not always geared to the age of the visitors. Need to use the shuttle bus or a taxi to get into Castries.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The food was very good and they had a nice variety. There weren’t many Americans there, which was fine until the very end. One employee made snide comments about our newly elected president and proceeded to tell us we would suffer under his leadership. I went on vacation to escape politics. Not to debate them. It left a bad last impression of an otherwise great vacation.

There were a lot of stairs, especially for seniors. I would have liked a place closer to the beach. The staff were wonderful. There really wasn’t any area to walk around because of the stairs.

My husband and I spent a week at Bel Jou for our honey moon. We both wanted something quiet, but with optional activities to intersperse throughout the day. Everything we read about Bel Jou was the right fit for us and while we love a good band (they had many while we were there), we didn’t want a big night life for this trip. The staff really make it special. Andrea and Princess made us feel welcome every day at meals and by the cabana, Mikey was a great first impression when we arrived, Shanel was our favourite person to see every morning, we often sat in Verkesa’s section at dinner as her service is friendly and delightful, and Jahfree was lovely to run into at the hotel! I am missing so many more but everyone puts in a big effort to make even the rainy days a real pleasure. The drinks (cocktails and mocktails) are fantastic, food always a hit, room is clean and comfortable. The two pools are a great asset and one is always warm from the sun for a swim. Thank you!
