The room was dark with dull lighting, one of the few lights went on and off at will. Some of the shades did not go up to allow desperately needed sunlight in. The floor had a big buckle that causes us to trip until we adapted. They have no racks for towels, and one hook in the bathroom for a wet towel. There was no chest of draws for clothing and 2 short hanging racks about 8 inches each. We had to rummage through a stack of towels and clothing in the dark. The draws on each side of the bed can only hold watches, phones and a few socks. The food at the restaurant was expensive for what you got so we had to go into town which was a bumpy ride taking about 20 minutes on a golf cart. You can't go to the beach spontaneously, you have to book a boat ride which goes every hour and takes about 30 min each way (about 15 minute ride waiting inline to board.) If it is busy, book the boat ride or you will not be able to get on although the resort was not busy during my stay. There are many Americans there so prices are jacked up, I feel I can get more for my money elsewhere. The gym was nice and the most of the employees were very accommodating. They have mosquito spray available since it is a tropical environment. The coffee in the room was a teapot and powdered coffee. They offer free coffee at the main building until about 11:00 AM. That coffee was very good.
