We paid a good price for this hotel during golden week and it was much more affordable than other options. The property is well located right in front of the tombolo and less than a 10 minute walk to the local shop/restaurants so we were pleased. There’s a public onsen at the hotel which is the main attraction but we opted to pay 3000 yen for 45 minutes in the private onsen which was nice. The hotel was built in the 60s and hasn’t been updated since so if you want somewhere with all the mod cons this is not the place for you but I believe the affordable price matches what you get. The staff are the best thing about this hotel and they were incredibly helpful (making dinner reservations for us, giving recommendations on places to go/see and they even leave a nice jug of ice cold water outside your room each evening for the night). Thanks!
