A nice stay

A nice beachside resort. units included outdoor space and a hammock. No efforts were taken to clear the huge volume of sargassum which detracted from the beach. Taco restaurant was good. Included breakfast was minimalist, but menu items were generous and well made. Front desk staff was helpful. The crowd was generally younger (20-30s) with a few families. A pleasant getaway!

Beautiful and clean, but with issues

Nice hotel, very clean, but with clear issues of maintenance or age. My room had problems with the key that was not working properly and my sink faucet had no warm water. Other family members had issues with the toilet plumbing and roaches. The rooms we occupied had very little light (artificial or natural) were dark to a point where I had to use my phone's light to get things done. All outdoor furniture showed signs of heavy wear and tear and could use fixing and maintenance. The hotel's restaurant was ok, with a limited menu. This said, on the positive side, the hotel's gardens and public areas were incredibly well tended and beautiful. The employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel's WhatsApp concierge service was a blessing; we used them to organize several excursions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but for the price, we would have expected to have less issues with the rooms and infrastructure. The management needs to step up their game.

Nice but broken

Loved the hotel area, but when I book a room with a pool, i expect the pool to work or to be fixed. As a Expedia Gold/Vip member hotel I would expect to get the Gold service included too, without having to ask for it. You can do better then this. 3 nigts and we're off....

I’m incredibly disappointed with my stay Firstly when we arrived the toilet was blocked and urine in it instantly, so it clearly wasn’t cleaned properly. Someone did come to unblock it but it shouldn’t have been left like that for arrival -the smell off the surrounding area of the rooms smells of sewage which obviously isn’t very pleasant -I found the staff in general quite unhelpful and unfriendly. Last night (room 42) was having a party, I messaged concierge several times to which nobody replied around midnight, the service is 24 hours and whoever is in charge of the WhatsApp had been online and ignored my messages. I then called reception and was told I’d be called back in a minute.. I was not called back. After reporting our neighbours I think about 6 times and nothing changed I had to get out of my bed and go to reception. The man on reception then said he’d come with me to the neighbours, this made me feel quite unsafe, why would I want to confront the disruptive drunk neighbours? They were given a warning and the noise continued, the music got louder. I messaged the WhatsApp again and was ignored, I did not sleep all night and felt unwell and was annoyed I’ve paid double the amount you normally charge for your rooms, I understand because of the festive period, but this made the experience even more upsetting to be paying this amount and having such a disruptive experience. They also owe me £200 check in fee I was told I’d get back. AVOID THIS HOTEL.

Nuestra estadía fue muy grata, trato increíble, desayuno excepcional y todo el lugar es hermoso, sin embargo tuvimos la desagradable experiencia de lidiar con cucarachas y otros bichos en la habitación. El primer día aparecieron dos, en el piso cerca de la puerta, no le dimos mucha importancia y lo dejamos pasar, pero aparecieron otras dos el siguiente día y la tercera noche apareció una en la cama y eso nos pareció completamente inaceptable, más delante durante la mañana aparecieron otras dos en el área de los lavamanos y en la esquina entre la cama y el clóset decenas de mini cochinillas, donde también el clima estaba chorreando agua y mojo un poco mi ropa, unas cuantas cochinillas más grandes estaban también sobre el lavamanos cerca de los cepillos de dientes. Al reportarlo en la noche nos dieron la opción de cambiar de habitación, sin embargo era nuestra última noche y teníamos que salir al siguiente día temprano, no queríamos empacar todo para movernos, desempacar y tener que volver a empacar, además de que otra habitación no aseguraría que no hubiera cucarachas también. En la mañana siguiente al hablarlo con la gerente en turno nos informó que podía ofrecernos una noche extra sin costo, pero ya estábamos por viajar de regreso, mandamos un correo para darle seguimiento y pedir que se nos honrara la noche que nos ofrecieron a forma de reembolso y nos han ignorado por semanas.

What a joke.

Staffing is an issue from what we can see right from the start. The breakfast was always out of coffee, staff struggled to get tables cleaned off once others were done and trying to get your cheque, event to just sign it to your room, had a line up due to only one credit card machine and staff trying to do other tasks. The first few nights sleep were good, listening to the waves while you sleep. Then on night 3, the bar (which happens to be owned separately from the resort begin blasting music at 8am. After repeated requests to stop, they continued and we were told they don't manage the bar. We were then warned that the bar had a 36 hour booze and drug fest planned for new years eve day and new years day. It was a horrible experience and our estimation is that the guests were not even staying on resort. I like to party and celebrate but by 3am, the noise was overwhelming and we had to demand to be moved into a hut on the far side of the resort to try and get some sleep as we had a fishing excursion booked for the morning. When we got up to go fishing and return our original room, there was literally drunken people sleeping on the steps of the bar and in the sand at 8am. Ultimately, the fact that the bar is a separate business and has competing interests from the hotel and their guests, has this place full of undesirables. I won't get into all the issues with cartel controls of cabs and bars in the area now, but this is our 3rd trip to Tulum in 6 years and will be our last.

Pésimo ! Servicio al hacer check in muy lentos, no tuvimos internet ni teléfono en la habitación el primer día, la habitación que nos dieron está junto al restaurant de tacos y todo el día la música súper alta si queríamos descansar pues no era opción esto así hasta las 8 pm,la habitación olía a caño horrible al grado de tapar las alcantarilla de la regadera y lavabos , el servicio de restaurante pésimo en dos ocasiones pedimos alimentos y siempre faltaba uno . Definitivamente no volvemos ni recomendamos .relacion calidad precio te sientes robado del precio y todo lo que pasamos

Outdoor Area of the resort is beautiful and maintained very well. It smelled moldy in our room and the water coming out of the shower was salty. Also the drain pipe smelled very weird. Breakfast is horrible, we had dinner once in the resort and the food was served cold. Would not recommend eating there.
