Hotel is a lovely old hotel centrally located to lots of restaurants etc., Rooms beautiful and beds large and comfortable. Also pet friendly which was a plus. But the room was TOO HOT & even though thermostat there to adjust no adjustment made any difference. We finally had to figure out how to open the large old windows in the middle of the night to get some sleep. Bathroom is old & small but serviceable. For the price I think bathroom should be better. The check in is hectic. Check in time not till 4pm! And whatever systems they use take a long time. Long lines resulted. I would consider staying again but would probably prefer a hotel with more modern accommodations if I’m going to pay almost 400/night after fees, taxes and parking.

We’ve been coming to this hotel for well over 10 years. It’s our favorite place to stay as it’s nostalgic and so much history. For the last few years every year it’s seemed to go down hill a little more. I love the service at the desk, I love the beauty of the lobby and the rooms are pretty well kept up. What’s gone downhill is the heat in the rooms, the draftiness of the windows and the temperature of the water. The rooms are either incredibly hot and unbearable or freezing cold. The water temperature is often lukewarm to freezing. To pay upwards of $250/night for a standard room and not have basic amenities working well is a major turn off. The attendants at the desk are kind but to offer a free breakfast sandwich as a courtesy for the issue is sad. Lastly, the hotel restaurant used to be great. Since Rieners took it over every year it’s gotten worse. The hours are horrible. To not open until 2PM or later on a Saturday is weak. Often running out of common beverages and it’s always freezing cold are other pieces that are a negative. Again, my wife and I truly love the Biltmore but ownership needs to dip into the coffers to make some improvements to the heating system and windows. Spend money to open restaurant earlier on weekends. It’s sad that we and many, many others spend a lot of money for basic amenities to not work. I hope they improve these things or we and others that we know that go as well will be forced to stay elsewhere in the future.

Front desk staff was rude and loud. Rooms are hot and fan in room did not work. They want $100 per night for "incidentals," when the only thing in the room is a complimentary water in a fridge that isn't cold. First and last stay here.

Parking was a nightmare. Hotel didn’t have hot water. Room didn’t have AC, had to crack a window and it was 9 degrees. The entire first floor was ice cold. Beds were comfortable though and room was cute. Unsure if I’d stay again.

For the price amenities were lacking, soap in shower was empty, room had 2 heaters one blew cold air all night, was a very beautiful building and cleanliness was good but staff were very brief at check in. There was no hot water for our entire stay and the heat barely worked in our junior suite. I wasn't able to get the room above 63°F without a space heater. Maintenance wasn't able to do anything and said "it may get better or it may not". We got additional blankets from the front desk. We asked for a late checkout since our flight was not for several hours and were granted one additional hour.

Unfortunately the room was not in great condition. The window treatments would not move up and down. The bed was so uncomfortable we were both tossing and turning all night from weird back pain which had never happened to us before. No fan in the bathroom. The comforter was thin and not warm enough. There were just weird details that felt rushed and shotty. Like paint sloppily done on trims and baseboards. You had to make sure the doors were pulled closed when you left the room. Twice I thought they were closed but came back and they were propped open. Overall I would not come back. Especially for the price for a king suite. This place has so much potential, it’s just sad the way it was renovated designed.

Everything was fine except for when we got into the room the heat was off and it never really turned on fully all night. Due to being an old building, we called maintenance and they said turn the heat off to try and restart it, but it didn’t really kick on full blast so it was a chilly night. Probably won’t stay there during the winter time again
