The hotel was nothing like I thought it was going to be. It was first time in New Orleans and it was awful. The area at the hotel was dirty and scary. I felt unsafe. The staff at the hotel were not friendly or helpful. There is no parking readily available so you end up using the valet which was an additional $150 I had not planned on. The room was noisy. The fan inside the room was loud and constant. Even with that noise you could hear people outside the hotel and in the hallways and next door. Ugh! There was no housekeeping around and the room was dirty especially the bathroom. The tub wouldn’t drain and the bathroom facet leaked. The hotel was meant to be historic. I guess that really means old and broken.

Good location, unique style, vibe, & layout. Valet parking situation was frustrating as it took hours before our car was moved/taken away, they don't have their own garage, and you can't get to your car easily or quickly. Spacious room but had intermittent AC issues.

Cons: took an hour to check in, mini fridge in room didnt work, half the electrical didnt work some reason, and all the kid/sports channels didnt work on the tvs. Pros: nice decor/feel to the hotel, ac worked great, very roomy for the 2 adults and 3 kids we had, breakfast was decent enough I do extensive research before I book hotels and pretty much all of the time I'd grade the places I stay 9/10 or 10/10. This one felt more like a 7/10. You could most definitely do worse, but could probably also find better.

Overall it was ok. Location just outside French Quarter, about 20 mins walking distance. No housekeeping during your stay, you need to ask for fresh towels at the front desk. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were comfortable but our room in particular was close to the elevators and we we able to hear starting and stopping during the night.

The hotel, overall, is older and so there are signs of this ( as expected )... in example my door had to be pulled hard- almost slammed - to shut, but the size of the rooms and Kitchenette made up for that. Friendly Staff. The Bar was not often seen being used, which was a little disappointing, but NOT a big deal just seemed a waste of a cute space.

The stay was actually excellent. Great location. Great staff. The only thing I didn’t like was that the front desk is telling guest that the cleaners only come every three days in which the room looked exactly like that when entering. Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned so I cleaned my own but that’s the only improvement needed! It was last minute and I booked when I got into town.

Hotel was on par with what other guests reported - clean, spacious rooms, great breakfast (wasn't expecting the hot foods), and friendly and helpful staff. Missing a star for a few reasons though... Noisy elevators in the old building kept me awake a bit at night. The unexpected early-morning fire alarm was jarring (greasy kitchen we were told), but overall this is a great boutique hotel in the heart of the warehouse district that is walkable to A LOT of the great places NOLA has to offer!
