酒店的环境很特别。就是房间小了点。如果不理会在意的可以忽略。服务人员很nice，他家的卫生挺干净的。就是大堂的水机热水出水比较慢，要改进。

Good value and location

This place is a good option if you’re looking for inexpensive accommodations and are not planning to spend much time in your room. It’s in a great location within walking distance to just about everything and the staff was very accommodating, but the rooms are very small with minimal lighting and no seating options. There are also a lot of stairs and no elevators, which was not an issue for us.

It was a great time definitely felt like your own apartment. The only thing we would complain about is the bathroom. Very small but that wasn’t the problem just a bit dirty and needed to be updated. But did the job. Past that kitchen was nice and had a full fridge. It was a great place for the time we stayed

Staff was super friendly. We had a cottage that seemed a bit more run down than represented in the site photos. I get that the place is old, but just little things like fixtures painted over, nails in the wall where pictures used to hang but had been left and painted over (i.e., cheap paint job), light switch cover that didnt fit so the door frame was chiseled away to make it fit. The bed was comfy and the place was clean however so overall it was fine. The proximity to town also cant be beat. I would stay here again.

I loved my little bungalow with its own little kitchen. Very comfortable and the home made berry cobbler they had in the lobby upon arrival was a nice touch. Cute little place, ill stay again.

Check amenities beforehand

We had a two bedroom cottage, which only had two beds and a nightstand. There were two hangers behind the refrigerator so were impossible to use. Shower was tiny. The room could have been improved with some wall hooks to hang clothes and a narrow shelf unit to place personal items on. There wasn't room for a table and chairs. The manager was helpful and moved us to a much nicer place (bedroom, kitchen, living room and two balconies) but it was at the top of 79 stairs with no access except the stairs because of construction on the top of the hill it was on. Coffee was down the 79 steps in the main part of the hotel.
We were moved to the apartment second to the top on the right. Cottages are below and most involve steps.

We wanted to save money on our trip, and Hermosa was priced much lower than any other places - for good reason. Reception was very courteous. We stored our bags in a back room before check-in, and we were able to keep our valuables in the front office. When we checked in to our cottage, space was a major issue. One side of our bed was against the wall, so it was difficult to get into bed. We had to close the bathroom door to get to the kitchenette. The toilet seat was so close to the bathroom wall that it was difficult to sit. The shower was so narrow that my partner knocked the shampoo holder off the wall when turning around. A shelf hung low over the bathroom sink so you had to get your face under it to wash. Other issues: - there was hair on our sheets - shower water randomly changed between hot and cold - no eating utensils in kitchenette - an outside light shined through the kitchen window curtain into the bedroom all night - microwave was broken – repair guy promptly replaced it with another, but that had dried paint all over it - when we reported a sustained and loud verbal argument from another unit, the hotel said we could call the police ourselves (although the microwave repair guy said he would check when he came to our room) - unit exteriors are in disrepair, with peeling paint If you are desperate to save money on Catalina, Hermosa is pretty cheap, but if you expect the basics you’d get anywhere else, I would not recommend it.
