This hotel is located in a great location for exploring the city. As mentioned by others you are within 15 minutes of most attractions. The pool area was nice with the ability to find sun or shade, the pool is also heated. The ground floor has an ice machine, water, microwave and all day coffee and tea. The common areas were very clean. I found the bed on the hard side and the breakfast was okay, very basic. If they upgraded those areas it would rate excellent in my opinion. We did a walking tour with Guru that was good, by donation. Just down the street on a corner towards the centre at # 60, was a great cafe for breakfast or lunch, or just grab a coffee or treat. If you are staying for a few days stay in a superior or deluxe room.

Casa de la Tia Tere is a treasure. It is family run, the owners live on the premises, and the staff are very friendly. It is in the Centro neighbourhood, close to the main points of interest; so you can explore in the morning when its cooler and chill by the pool in the beautiful courtyard in the hot afternoon.

Everything was wonderful! Great location close to everything yet quiet rooms. The suites next to the pool area have kitchenette and are spacious. The large pool was heated. There’s a beautiful breakfast terrace with a view to the mountains. Everything is super clean. The only suggestion I have is to add mattress toppers The mattresses are extra extra firm….

Basic in some ways, yes. Those in search of grand breakfast buffets and luxurious rooms and baths probably should not stay here. But everything is comfortable and clean, the staff could not have been nicer, more professional, or more helpful, and the swimming pool and terrace breakfast area are a pure pleasure. The location is close enough to the center for easy access—but at enough of a distance to avoid the crowds. And the pool area really is an oasis.

Lovely hotel. A 10 minute walk to the Zocalo or the Cathedral, Templo Santo Domingo opposite direction. Numerous restaurants. Selected a simple double bed with coffeemaker and microwave, ground floor facing the pool. Ample bathroom large shower instant hot water. Screens on the doors so you can draw the curtains and have a breeze or turn on the a/c. Small bedroom. All was clean! Bed was comfortable but MEH not enough pillows. An ok sized JVC TV (I believe) Didn't watch it. Given a key to the front door. Locked sometime during the night. You have a free simple buffet on the terrace. Reception and cleaning staff very helpful. ****Un hotel encantador. A 10 minutos a pie del Zócalo o de la Catedral, y el Templo de Santo Domingo en la dirección opuesta. Hay numerosos restaurantes cerca. Elegimos una habitación doble sencilla con cafetera y microondas, en la planta baja con vistas a la piscina. El baño es amplio, con una ducha grande y agua caliente al instante. Las puertas tienen mosquiteras, así que se pueden correr las cortinas y disfrutar de la brisa o encender el aire acondicionado. La habitación es pequeña. ¡Todo estaba limpio! La cama era cómoda, pero no había suficientes almohadas. Había un televisor JVC de tamaño decente (creo), pero no lo usamos. Nos dieron una llave de la puerta principal, que se cerraba con llave en algún momento de la noche. Hay un sencillo bufé gratuito en la terraza. El personal de recepción y de limpieza fue muy atento. LIMPIÓ!!!

I highly recommend this hotel, the room was not large by US standard but adequate, spotless and the shower water as hot when needed which we very much appreciated. The staff was the best and the breakfast changed everyday with a choice of two dishes with a side plate of fruit and cereal, juice and coffee or tea. Loved the heated pool in the beautiful tropical garden, The hotel was not far from everything, in a safe neighborhood. A Wonderfull hotel for a good price. We would choose this hotel whenever we return.
