Rustic & basic, but nice & clean. Bed & bathroom were good. Near a river in a nice setting, on the main road. Room had a ceiling fan & kept the windows open for fresh cool air. Would stay again

Nice convenient affordable spot

We have stayed here twice, recently. Room 17 was nice, easy access and 2 beds in 2 separate rooms. Nice use of space. Unfortunately, the front room window at street level had no screen. We like to sleep cold. It was a bit stuffy. This time we stayed in room 4. There was not as much room as room 17 and there was a couple of steps access. There was a screen in the window and an overhead fan.

Clean but temporarily confused

The first picture of the lodge is of a different property about a mile away, which made us think we were booking a different place. This motel doesn't look like much from the road, but it's roomy and clean. It has great beds.

Very displeasing and disappointing

If I wasn’t so tired I would have went somewhere else. Cabin smelled dirty. Toilet was nasty, shower had mold, shower curtain was too short water everywhere every time we showered we had to clean up water. The shower was so small. Light fixture in bathroom light bulb out and dried water drippings looked very gross. Old blood stains on sheets, lipstick stains on pillowcases, I went to get fresh sheets, the very nice gentleman gave me sheets that were not folded just rolled up and smelled musty just like they came out from grandmas smelly old cabinet. Space heaters everywhere the one in the bedroom was so loud my husband slept on the dirty couch. The coffee pot was filthy. Light fixtures had bugs. Someone had there radio booming at 7:00 in the morning It was not a very restful place at all for our family. I would not have stayed if we weren’t so very tired.

Cozy and comfortable

We were on an early season biking trip and made a stop in here to take a shelter from a snow storm. It was a perfect choice! Such a lovely and cozy place. Great and pleasant staff welcomed us (bonus:fresh baked cookies) 😀 Creede is only 20 miles away. Gone Rogue is a great local place to eat, if you like house made from scratch food.

I wish I had known something about this place before I booked a room, it was the worst place I’ve stayed in quite some time. The room looked like the only thing that had been updated since the 80s was the TV and the toilet. Even the floor in my room was sagging and lumpy, with carpet staples or something sharp poking through in a few spots. The stairs and walkways felt like they were going to fall off the building. Even though it’s a non smoking hotel, there were I let’s full of sand and cigarette butts outside most rooms. The door to my room looked like it had been forced open at some point and the latch plate was hanging loose in the door frame. I had to work at it to get the door to stay closed when I went out for food. The deadbolt worked, but the key I was given didn’t fit that lock, so all I had to protect my belongings while I ran to pick up dinner was the doorknob latch.

Run down hotel

Very low grade motel. Bed was fairly comfortable and we could take a shower but that was about it. Very run down and the picture don’t accurately represent the motel. Wouldn’t stay there again.

PowLovers HQ for Wolf Creek

Stayed her for 4 days while we skied at Wolf Creek. Affordable and great location. Super pizza place close by as well as another restaurant. It's a good location for powder lovers heading in from 285 and Denver. First time skiing Wolf Creek. Storm Skiing. Great mountain. Can't wait until I return.

Bait and Switch - Choose something else

These photos show an updated lodge. What we had wasn’t that at all. Super outdated and the photo even is of a building behind the actual lodge not the real thing. In the middle of the night it got so hot we had to wake up and turn off the heat and open the door to outside to circulate the place. You hardly could move around in the bathroom it was so small, nothing like the pics (photos I took were on a .5lens). No AC, super old heater probably why it wasn’t working right in the middle of the night. Bed was OK-ish for the price but definitely an old mattress based on color and sheets. Wouldn’t recommend, stay in Pagosa even if it costs more. Not many food options in town and most are so full you must wait hours. There also isn’t any sidewalks. Parking lot of hotel is very tight and small. Same with walkways to get to room.
