The Knickerbocker room is beautifully decorated and has been tastefully updated. The bathroom is a really good size. There is also a cute private balcony. The home is very clean and doesn’t have any unpleasant smells that many older homes have. This B&B is close to many attractions in the Finger Lakes region. A local coffee shop is within walking distance. There are also many wineries and breweries in the area. We did find that due to the time of year, many places either close early or activities are not available, but we were mostly there to see waterfalls and hike, which were plentiful. Ashley and David are very friendly hosts and provided us with delicious breakfasts, snacks and bottled water, tips on nearby attractions, and a bonfire to relax by. Communication was good and there were a lot of nice added touches. We would definitely stay here again.

How the owners treat their guest, answer any questions about the area, information on wineries, and the breakfast they make is always a well balanced meal and tasty. Property is close to Watkins Glenn for shopping, restaurants, and a public park.

Outstanding in so many ways

This was one of the best B&B's we have stayed in. Beautiful home in keeping with Victorian character while up to date with modern needs. Room very nice and a good size and bed very comfortable. Delicious breakfasts. Ashley and Dave very knowledgeable and helpful.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Burdett House! The hosts were so hospitable and welcoming, and they made a lot of great recommendations for wineries and activities. The room was beautiful, comfortable, with a lot of character. Our breakfast each morning was home cooked and as good as any restaurant. Would strongly recommend.

Ashley and David were the most incredible hosts, with a flair for detail, hospitality and warmth. The breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious, the eggs benedict, to the the buttermilk pancakes with fruit, or ricotta cheese toast and the yogurt parfaits and blueberry crumb cake. The rooms were beautiful and spotless, with thoughtful details throughout. The pantry on the second floor was stocked with drinks and snacks. And their dog Hudson was a fun, playful companion who is another "greeter." The human hosts know the area extremely well, and made some great recommendations for things to do and see. We will most certainly be back soon (if we can get a room)!

Butdett House Bed and Breakfast is extremely comfortable and friendly. We went to Ithaca for this year Cornell graduation and stayed at Burdett House for 3 nights, this was the best place where we love to stay. The guestroom was very clean, spacious, comfortable and cozy. The breakfasts were so delicious which you can't expect anymore. Ashley and David were the best hosts for our stay. They are ver very friendly and patient, when they knew we needed to rush to leave earlier, they were very thoughtful to prepare our breakfasts to meet our schedules. We strongly recommend this place to everyone who like to visit Ithaca and Watkins Glen.

My husband and I stayed in the Knickerbocker room this past weekend. The room is beautiful and spacious with a nice private balcony. The best part of the room is by far the shower! Amazing water pressure. The breakfast was delicious and fresh each day. Ashley and David are very personable and knowledgeable about the area. Ashley recommended some great hiking areas. We can’t wait to go back and stay again.
