This hotel was great! It feels historic on the inside and outside! As I was traveling with a friend, we chose the twin beds room. My bed was nothing fancy, but it was comfortable and I woke up feeling rested. Antique furnishings were delightful! The bathroom was very newly renovated, but in a European way - huge tub with a handheld sprayer, but no curtain or anything to hold the sprayer. I felt very tall entering the bathroom- if you are over 5'4" or so, be prepared to duck! The ceilings are normal height.
There was a tiny elevator to the third floor. Staff were gracious and helpful, and let us store our luggage after we checked out. We did not choose the breakfast, but the dining room was cozy and I kind of wish we had.
The location was perfect- a very short walk from the train station and close to everything. If you are very snobby about everything being new and just so, you should stay somewhere else. If you appreciate charm and character, this place will delight you!
