We had an exceptional stay. We booked the suite with the spiral staircase. The bed is ridiculously comfortable. The room is spacious and in good repair. The facilities are beautiful. The room could use its own temperature control because 72 degrees is hard for me to sleep in but the bed made up for the temperature. The room next to us was smoking weed and you could smell it through the walls but that is not the hotels fault and hopefully those people were charged for the disrespect. The woman who checked us in was a sweetheart. I recommend staying here if you are in Detroit.

They tell you up front when considering apparently this vintage hotel is more like a house with boarding rooms if you look at the pictures it looks kind of different than what they tell you once you get there basically this will be a good fit for a loaner or elderly person that wants to be not around like a lot of people

Absolutely perfect location if you’re looking for something within a very short walking distance from any of the sporting venues in the area. I was somewhat skeptical at first regarding the parking, as I usually stay at a different location with free parking included. However, there is a lot located directly next-door with secure parking available for only $28. This place was an easy five minute walk from the Fox Theatre. I would absolutely make this my preferred place to stay in the future! While we did not utilize the free breakfast in the morning, the common areas we passed through on our way to our room were beautiful. This is obviously an old historic home that has been restored and converted to a BNB style inn, and has a very home- like feel. I did not miss the all night noise and smell of the chronic in the hallways. We always experienced staying at certain casino hotels.

The staff was top notch…we had a few ‘special’ request and they accommodated every single one. Amanda, Denise and Danielle you are fabulous and true hospitality heroes. My mom had massage set up by the hotel and said it was fantastic! The room was big and spacious and the location is so convenient to Detroit events. I highly recommend this establishment.

Our room had a lot of space with a great bathtub! It was perfect for walking to Little Ceasars for a Red Wings game. The breakfast was delicious with a variety and we met some nice people while eating.
