I booked a Superior Room for two nights intending to spend New Year’s Eve in a comfortable space with a king-size bed. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a Standard Room located on the top floor at the rear of the hotel, with no elevator access. The room featured a small double bed—very different from what I had reserved.
When I raised the issue with staff, I was informed that the reservation only showed a Standard Room through Expedia. This contradicted the receipt I presented, which clearly indicated that I had paid for a Superior Room. After some discussion, and once I requested to see their booking statement, the staff changed their stance and redirected me to another hotel a few blocks away.
Additionally, I was charged an unexpected local tax of $29.95 for the two nights—an amount not disclosed during my booking through Hotels.com.
Due to the stress, misinformation, and additional costs, I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.
