Brandon Lodge is on the outskirts of Hereford. We travelled without a car and got off the 33 bus from Gloucester only 2 minutes' walk from the Lodge. We mainly walked in and out of the city, about 30 minutes each way, with no problem. Once we booked a taxi, also no problem, and when we left we took the 33 bus again, but the buses are infrequent.
Everything at Brandon Lodge was good, including the availability of coffee bags in the room and fresh milk on request. Breakfast are variations on the Full English, plus continental options, all good quality and well-served.
Our room was comfortable, in the single-storey extension with a covered walkway into the main house. Would happily stay again if arriving by car or bus, but might opt for somewhere more central if arriving by train.
