Ich war hier 3 Nächte. Hätte ich gewusst, wie schlecht dieses Hotel ist, wäre ich nicht mal eine geblieben. Es fängt damit an, dass das Hotel nicht wie gelistet in Egilsstadir liegt, sondern fast eine halbe Stunde außerhalb. Kann man vorher eruieren, hat aber trotzdem was von Etikettenschwindel. Das Hotel setzt auf Busgruppen, die einmal hier übernachten und dann nie wieder. Das merkt man überall. Es ist reine Massenabfertigung. Zimmer sind alt und klein, Bad ist winzig (am Waschbecken kann man nicht mal den Wasserkocher auffüllen, weil er nicht unter den Hahn passt). Es gibt einen antiquierten Duschvorhang, und aus der Dusche kommt so wenig Wasser, dass man während des Duschens von selbst trocknet. Es gibt keine vernünftigen Verdunklungsvorhänge, so dass es im Zimmer nachts nicht richtig dunkel ist. Der Fernseher ist kleiner als so mancher Laptop, das Mobiliar hat den Charme einer Jugendherberge aus den 70ern. Nicht mal ein „Do not disturb“-Schild gab es. Mein Zimmer ging nach hinten raus mit Blick auf die Mülltonnen. Frühstück ist Massenware mit Päckchen-Rührei und aufgebackenen Croissants. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass man die Stoßzeiten meiden soll, aber wenn man um 9 Uhr kommt (Frühstück gibt es bis 10), ist die Hälfte schon nicht mehr vorhanden und wird auch nicht mehr nachgefüllt. Am zweiten Tag kam ich um 9:30 und es gab kein Brot mehr, keine Eier, nur noch eine Sorte Käse usw. Auch auf Nachfrage wurde nichts aufgefüllt. Hier übernachte ich sicher nicht mehr!

Wonderful hotel in a convienent location. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The gal at check in was friendly and very informative. Loved the hot tub.

Je sirai que l'hôtel est très bien mais les appréciations sont bien ou excellent. Je suis déçu à double titre. D'une part, la piscine est actuellement fermée ( j'avais choisi spécialement cet hôtel pour sa piscine ) et nous n'avons pas eu de chambre avec vue sur le lac et on ne nous l'a pas proposé pourtant l'hôtel n'était pas complet

A wee bit of a drive from Eglisstadir and Route 1 in a peaceful and secluded location. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and an obvious asset. The room was large and comfortable with a lovely view of the lake and a decent sized bathroom with huge shower. To be picky hotel could do with bit of modernising and breakfast could be better quality - think both things could enable them to charge higher prices.

The main reason for the one star is that they required to pay for the sauna which isn’t listed and the main reason is the parking spaces are sooo close together, u can barely get into out of ur car. Pics below

Property was nicely laid out. We booked a lake view room which also ended up looking out over the hot tub so you couldn’t actually enjoy the view without people thinking you were watching them. Also the noise from the hot tub wasn’t enjoyable although it didn’t go on late. Dinner at restaurant was limited to a buffet which we weren’t interested in.

What a great hotel. We had tv issues and they moved us to another room asap. The breakfast buffet was excellent but the star of the show was the hot tub overlooking the mountains

The property is about 20 minutes from Eglisstadir, beautiful area but nothing really around. We had a lake view room and the room is outdated. We had a running toilet issue late evening, we could not make it to stop, it happened at late night so we could not call for help, we reported it the next morning and the front desk staff unapologetically told us that we should try to fix it by pressing the button a few times! They did not at least admit the mistake or try to make up for it. Unbelievable! BTW, Do not pay for 8500 for the buffet, the quality of food was ok, the restaurant was crowded with tour package customers, the dining experience was poor..
