The best thing about the property was the views and location. I think a little more TLC and attention to details could be put into cleaning and maintaining the rooms. Not sure it’s worth the $160 a night.

The view of the lake was amazing from our room. I loved our room. however, the balcony was covered with spiders and spider webs. eek! Jacuzzi could have been better. drain stopper was broke and hair came out floating in the water. EEEEEK!

July 4th 2019
Stayed here with our two kids for the 4th of July and was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It was bigger than we were expecting. Usually sofa sleepers aren’t that comfortable, but this one was wasn’t bad at all!
The provided toiletries were really nice and well thought out. Nice to have a keurig machine in the room for coffee.
Only thing to mention is to make sure the shower curtain is completely covering the wall because the water goes right under the bathroom door and into the main part of the condo, which is super slippery on the glazed concrete floors, but other than that it really was a nice stay!!

This is how to stay in East Tennessee!
The room and location was so nice! My little one LOVED watching the boats on the lake. I had actually just spent a week in a terrible cabin rental in the Smoky's, so coming to this beautiful and clean room was a dream come true!

This resort is basically shut down during the winter. No working ice or vending machines. Never interacted with anyone from the property. The office was always closed. Transactions were completed via email.

We arrived after hours and found our room keys (we rented 2 rooms) in the mailbox as directed. Had trouble finding our rooms because it was dark and the room number was hard to locate and there is no hotel identification on the building. Stains on carpet and chairs were off putting but bed and bathroom were clean. Curtain rod falling off of wall in one room. TV had a zillion channels but needs a manual to operate.

Will be back! Great condo and location!
Loved our condo! It was quiet and over looked Lake Douglas. The restaurant was within walking distance and had amazing food! If you’re looking for something on the outskirts of Pigeon Forge, The Point Resort is just what you’re looking for!

Lake view respite....
nice private small m/hotel overlooking the lake, so i think all rooms have a lake view. would have preferred being on second floor, but otherwise all ok. nice restaurant next door so one does not need to go elsewhere. great place to launch your water craft. downtown a 1/4 ml. away with nice coffee shop.

Comfortable accommodations
Nice place on the water with nice restaurant next door. We ordered the special, and it was not the greatest for the price. The room was set up nicley and was comfortable. Nice view. Not much around. Lake was down 40ft for winter, that was an unexpected bummer. Was wanting to fish off the bank but couldnt.

Maybe good for a couple getaway, but not a Hotel!
As other reviews mentioned. know what this place is.
It is NOT a hotel. It is very simple and very low key. all it is is a building with rooms in it. No hotel facilities, no staff, absolutely nothing other then just a room with a bed.
The one staff they do have leaves after 3PM (yes, 3PM), and no one else is available after that.
The room is basically a bed and TV, with a bathroom of course. The light in the room is so poor, we needed to use our phone's light to look for things (seriously!).
Again, if all you want is a roof over your head and a bed, this will do. if you expect anything more, find a hotel.

No lights on in the building when we arrived. Pitch black and very uninviting. No staff available had to get restaurant staff to help. No housekeeping except to replace towels. Terrible mattresses. Overpriced for what we got.

Our mini vacation
This was a great location just far enough away from all the shopping in Sevierville and Gatlinburg area. Peaceful, quiet. Only spoke to staff over the phone and they were super nice and pleasant. Our room was very spacious, loved it.

Quiet, great for boaters, expected more for the $
The Point Resort was quiet. It is a smaller facility. The room was very spacious and nice. We stayed on a holiday weekend and paid double the price because of it. It wasn't worth double. There isn't much to do in the area but it is a great place to launch a boat and play in the lake. Our main purpose was to visit the Smokies so we were a little far for that. All in all it was a good stay. Take some food and drinks with you as there is a fridge and microwave and the balcony is a peaceful place to eat.
