El hotel está muy bien ubicado, nuestra habitación estaba en un 4to nivel, la torre de la iglesia estaba prácticamente frente a nuestra ventana, no cuentan con estacionamiento, pero tienen valet parking con costo adicional, no tienen elevador, las habitaciones necesitan unas ventanas acústicas, las campanadas de las 6am ya no nos dejaron dormir!, hace falta un poco de mantenimiento en las instalaciones del baño, los manerales de la regadera fugaban. En general el hotel está bien, me hospedaria en el de nuevo.

At first, I was thrilled with this boutique hotel because it looked clean in the pictures and was very close to downtown. They also allowed us to check in early, which I appreciated. However, once I got inside, I was disappointed. The bed was very low, the room was too dark, and the pillows had a foul smell that made it seem like they hadn’t been changed. The shower drain in the bathroom was clogged and drained very slowly. The biggest disappointment happened when I lost my keys and looked under the bed—there was inches of dust built up underneath. Although they replaced the lost key without charging me, they did nothing about my repeated requests to have the area under the bed cleaned. I spoke to them multiple times, but no action was taken.

The room was very noisy, it was next to a bar that closed at 1-2am. I also told the attendant that the water for the shower wasn’t heating up and her solution was to turn on the faucet and shower at the same time. It sort of worked but it meant that I had to have the water running for 20-30min before I could get in.

The room was absolutely wonderful. A bit loud at night but that is ok. The restaurant on the rooftop was majestic, although a bit pricey even for San Miguel’s standards. The one thing that I would say was weird was the following. I arrived to the hotel early after an overnight flight and the person at the front desk told me they had the room ready but would only allow me to check in early if I gave them a 5 stars review on Google. And she stood there until I did. I understand that they want to increase their ratings but that felt a bit coercive. It may also be just that one employee who misunderstood the manager’s orders.

Excellent location, friendly staff, however extremely loud music playing at the restaurant/bar downstairs - with no patrons - until midnight all 3 night. Expect noise being so central, but the volume of the music was completely unacceptable.

I was greeted amiably when I first arrived. This is a good thing since I arrived later in the evening after a long journey to Mexico. The staff member seemed to understand that I was tired and she showed me to my room and showed me how the key worked. During my stay, the woman who cleaned my room was very personable. She would see me outside of my room, sitting in the sun, and would always ask if it were convenient to clean my room at that time. She was quick but efficient. I loved the bed with its numerous sheets. I never felt cold. I enjoyed the presence of the cat and dog who added charm to the facility. On leaving day, the staff not only helped me arrange for a private taxi to the airport, they also helped me move my luggage to the waiting taxi. On top of all of this, the hotel is a short walk to the jardin principal. Bonus! The reasons I did not shade in a 5th star: (1) the shower had no pressure and the water was not very hot; and (2) the room let in a lot of noise in the evening from people partying. I usually sleep well through noise but the staff might take note of this in case they have some guests who sleep lightly.
