The rooms and property were fantastic, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful and the food was delicious, great service! The only difficulty was finding parking for our rental vehicle but that is true for every hotel near the beach. It’s on the outer edge of Rethymno, making the location less crowded than the old town streets near the port. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the port from the hotel, but we didn’t mind the walk. We would absolutely book here again.

My wife and I stayed here for our elopement/honeymoon, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our room was the Suite, Sea View (Split Level) and it was lovely. Spacious bed, plenty of space in the room, and comfy furniture. The staff was phenomenal! The cleaning staff was always prompt and detail oriented. The reception crew was knowledgeable, insightful, and wonderfully friendly. The private beach itself was perfect. It was quiet and away from the other resorts/hotels on the beach that it really did feel like a private location. We will be booking here again when we make it back to Rethymno.

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The staff were extremely attentive and made a conscious effort to get to know us, especially Kostas(?) (and our coffee orders!). The breakfast spread was wide and varied each day and is run smoothly, self served and on the glorious terrace overlooking the sea. Our side view room had everything we needed and the addition of the terrace overlooking the restaurant and ocean was perfect. Having access to the beach was a particular highlight for us, with sun loungers and beach towels provided. We found the location of the hotel ideal, with a row of restaurants less than a 5 min walk away, as well as the restaurant at the hotel (which had exception food and cocktails!). Also a 20 min walk to the Old Town. Overall a perfect trip, would definitely come back!

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent, comfy beds, great staff and it's on the sea! The beach nearby is pebbly and it's a 25 minute walk to the old town - not a huge amount to do in the immediate area, but the hotel itself more than makes up for that!

The hotel is fresh and modern whilst tastefully retaining the charm the buildings history. Our room was very spacious with all the amenities we could ask for. The bed was very comfortable and the room always kept a comfortable temperature despite the heat outside. The maid did a fantastic job every day and we always looked forward to arriving back to our freshly cleaned room. She was very attentive and friendly when we briefly chatted to her on our way to breakfast. The breakfasts were always freshly made with a generous spread of traditional greek food both hot and warm, sweet and savoury. We enjoyed eating our breakfast in the outside restaurant area that directly lies directly on the sea. We enjoyed meals at many restaurants in Rehtymno but it was difficult to beat the well prepared and fresh meals at the hotels restaurant. To top it all off, you can then move to a comfortable lounger next to the water and enjoy watching a beautiful sunset whilst enjoying a cigar and sipping on one of the fantastic cocktails made by their talented bartender, Giorgos. Which brings me onto the staff at the hotel, they are fantastic. We felt so warmly received and welcomed by them all. A special mention should be given to Aris, who really went the above and beyond our expectations of hospitality and professionalism. We look forward to one day returning to Thalassa Boutique Hotel

Charming property and one of the best parts is the view which is just spectacular, you can’t get any closer to the sea! The room and breakfast were nice and we had one meal in the restaurant which was lovely and had a great atmosphere. It’s located outside the main area of Rethymno but worth it for its charm and an easy taxi ride away!

View to die for!!! Excellent place, amazing boutique hotel with incredible view, sea had to many waves, so we used the little pool, which was great and had an awesome time. Restaurant was top tier, food was great, service was great, seafood moussaka not so much, order anything else, you will thank me for it, will stay here again next year. Great couples place.
