Horrible experience!!

I couldn't check in because the owner didn't show up. I waited for more than 2 hours at the entrance. The owner didn't answer the phone and didn't reply emails. This is not a hotel or even apartment. It's old and I think is illegal for rental.

Abosolutely DO NOT stay here.

Horrible.Waste of money. Most expensive place we booked and did not even stay there. 1. Hard to contact owner. 2. Dirty!!Not suitable unless you are a couple.3. Hard to find. I am not even sure where to begin. First, it was impossible to get in touch with the owner to arrange a time to get into the apartment. For days no answer at the number given. We called it ourselves, had hotel staff from our other hotels call and nothing. Major alarm bells. This is a busy season because of Chinese New Year and we were starting to panic a bit and look for alternate accommodation. Finally, on the day that we were to check in, someone at Crane Center in Azumi spent over an hour trying to locate the property and finally got in touch with an acquaintance at the travel bureau in Kirishima. They got through to the owner and we arranged a time. Second, finding this place is an absolute MISSION-even with GPS/Navi. We were unsure if it was even the place and asked a kindly neighbor down the street to confirm. He was also confused. He ended up calling the owner because the apartment itself is unmarked. We were all shocked at what we found. An unkempt, dirty bachelor. Basically one small room. It was awful. It looked like whoever lived there just got up and left. The sheets looked slept in. Things were broken. And the double futon? Non-existent unless you count the dirty bed? shoved into the broken cupboard. It was vile. We did not stay. Got lucky and stayed at cheaper hotel down road (Good Inn).
