Beautiful mountain side getaway!

Great service by everyone. Very comfortable. Clean. Beautiful surroundings of mountain and mountain stream right in front of the property. You can hear the stream from your room. Food is fantastic. And chef Ales is great. Menu is great. Very relaxing and fresh mountain air. Hiking trail up the mountain begins right from the hotel.

This guest house is absolutely unique - it has an atmosphere of a hut in the woods, and it is actually in the woods. on the way, you pass by an ancient castle, which we loved to explore. At the guesthouse we received one of the best meals we ever had, so special and so well made! Finally, the rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the common dining room is quite interesting and very cozy. Although the guesthouse is off the beaten path, it is worth the drive, and it is actually only 20 minutes from the main touristic attraction in the area - Bled. Very highly recommended!

Fantastic stay. Charming inn and restaurant in the woods alongside a running stream. Great service. We had to leave before breakfast started so the head waiter left a wonderful packed lunch for us at our door as a substitute. Great dinner at very reasonable prices as well. Authentic Slovenian place. Local people were celebrating a friend’s birthday the night we ate dinner. Lots of Slovenian songs and laughter. Very cool vibe.

During high season in Bled, there are not many available accomodations. And prices are quite high (this included). We picked this based on good reviews, which was mostly targetted the restaurant. So here is one for the rooms. The room is old in style, but the bathroom is decently updated. Unfortunately even with just 26 degrees outside, the heat was unbearable in the room. The host could not provide a fan. Opening the door to the balcony did not offer much ventilation as it is the only opening to the outside, aside from that, cigarette smoke from the outdoor seating below would blow into the room, and the insect netting did not do much to prevent 100s of small flies to enter the room, the icing on the cake was the realisation that the balcony was shared with another room, which left us uncormfortable in having the door open anyway. Also my wife had an allergic reaction to something in the room. Aside from that, the walls were thin enough that we could easily hear the snores from the other guests. The room was decently clean, but there were beard clippings in the sink caulking. On the flip side, we were heading before breakfast was served, so the restaurant packed us a very nice to-go breakfast the evening before.

I chose this hotel based on its location and the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of my expectations. The access to the hotel is not good, the property feels very outdated, and the rooms lack proper soundproofing and air conditioning. In addition, the standards of cleanliness and hygiene were disappointing. Considering the price paid, especially compared with other hotels where I stayed that cost almost half as much, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and did not offer value for money. Unless you are specifically looking for a very rustic, medieval-style mountain experience and are prepared for a very basic level of comfort, I would not recommend staying here.

The place was great. Very spacious, friendly staff and quiet as it is out in the woods. Very nice big breakfast. My only complaint was I made It to check in close to 9:30 and it was completely dark and no way to get in. I know it was off season but they said check in was closed at 8, but when I looked Back at my reservation it said 9:30. I probably Would have still missed it but I didnt know how small of a place it was and that it was a time slot. That was my bad but it got me a little frazzled because there was no cell service out there to call, I had To drive into the nearest town. But they were totally helpful.

Meget lille værelse med skrå vægge. Sengen var meget gammel, med tynde madrasser og knagede så meget, at hele hotellet kunne høre det. Virkelig træls... generelt meget gammelt og absolut ikke prisen værd. Maden i restauranten var heller ikke prisen værd. Vi har været på mange hoteller i Europa, men aldrig været på så dårligt et værelse.

Die Unterkunft ist eher urig als luxuriös. Man fährt gefühlt ewig durch Wald und entlang eines malerisch wilden Bergbachs. Das Haus entspricht den Bildern und liegt inmitten wilder Natur. Es gibt dort einen Parcour für Bogenschießen und wandern. Das Restaurant ist großartig und die Küche wirklich exellent. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen ließ keine Wünsche offen. Das Zimmer ist unter dem Dach, relativ klein und man sollte nicht zu groß sein und sehr beweglich. Das Bett ist direkt auf dem Fußboden, hatte also keine Beine. Dadurch bekam das ganze eine sportliche Note. Hätte ich das gewußt, hätte ich es gelassen. Denn ich bin nicht besonders sportlich und relativ fortgeschrittenen Alters. Das Bad roch sehr nach künstlichen Duftstäbchen, die Einrichtung war einfach und entsprach den Bildern. Wir waren mit Hund da, der sehr freundlich aufgenommen wurde. Fazit: sehr gutes Essen,nettes Personal und alle sehr freundlich, beim Zimmer nur mäßig. Aber tolle Landschaft und ein tosender Bergbach vorm Fenster.
